Best and Worst Basketball Commercials of All-Time
CP on a Jordan ad shoot.During this basketball postseason I’ve seen Chris Paul featured in both one of the best and one of the worst hoops-related TV commercials to hit airwaves in 2008. On one hand, I loved the “There Are No Cinderellas” Jordan Brand ad starring CP and the Georgetown basketball team, among others, that ran during the NCAA Tournament. (And going back a little further, the “Look Me In the Eyes” ad was one of my all-time favorites.) On the flip side, the Right Guard ad talking about CP’s armpits that came on during last night’s Celtics/Lakers game was kind of terrible on several levels.

“Be Like Mike” Gatorade ad campaign is still the best basketball commercial of all time.
No other ad comes close to having that impact or catchy jingle.

lil’ penny commerical are funny.
the nike dribbling is nasty.
the reebox one where they play five on five near airplanes. the one w/ nash, cp3, amare, and others.
the one where pierce team vs j.oneal team go at it and pierce and j.oneal keep kicking their teammates off the court.
iverson commerical was sick too when he does all this dribbling while some rapper rap bout him.

just a young darius miles. a clipper odom, white chocolate when he was white chocolate and rasheed committing a tech in the commercial.
an up and coming (before falling like a puss) vince carter. nah, them tmobile ads dont top this. them ‘nuttin but net’ shooting for burger ads dont top this.

Recent commercial that I’m feeling I can’t even remember what they were advertising…
They show a bunch of athletes training and doing their thing to the song “List of Demands” by ??
That commercial makes me want to just run and sweat till I drop. Really tough commercial.
I think it’s a Gatorade commercial…Adrian Peterson is in the commercial…
All-time: MJ – like Mike and Nike crazy commercial with the bball sound mix will always be great.
Those AI commercials were great too with Jadakiss…
That sprite commercial when dude gets rim-locked was funny first time.

I think that the regional comcercials are usually hilarious . . . Vince Carter had a ton of them (I guess, as it’s metric in Canada, tonne) from everything from an Italian suit store to a punjabi owned car dealership.

I think nike did a great job with the Kobe Bryant, “Love me or Hate me” commercial. It came out at a time when there was much controversy surrounding Kobe Bryant.

I’ve got 3 commercials that were all pretty decent:
1) the old Roswell Raygun ABA Nike commercial where Vince Carter rocked a “Ladies Man” fro and they were ballin at the Rucker…
2) the Adidas T-Mac 1 commercial where he continuously dunks to the Clipse “What Happened To That Boy” track
3) The S.Carter/Jamal Crawford one where he’s dribbling through a laboratory with Jay-Z watching…Jiggas “I’m a Hustla” vocals are in the background…
