You’re About to Get “Rondo’d”
Everyone involved in the NBA Finals is going to benefit in one way or another. In Rajon Rondo’s case, he’s going to get some advertising shine as part of a mini Reebok ad campaign that will be seen online and in the arena throughout the Finals.
Red’s Army has the details about the campaign, which centers around what happens when people get “Rondo’d.”
Their definition:
Rondo’d (rŏn’dō’d) v.: moving smoothly between larger objects, being able to remove an object quickly and efficiently, or creating a distraction with a swift change of direction
The spots also star Dee Brown, JoJo White and Vince Wilfork from the Patriots. Go HERE for more ino.

I just don’t think Rondo is playing at a high enough level to justify this bullshit marketing campaign talkin like his D is better than The Glove in the 90’s. Rondo is a decent point guard with mad upside, but getting Rondo’d? GTFOH

i’ll give you raymond felton….but what is your logic for saying rondo will be better than devin harris? please….dont even answer. we all know you’ll come up with some garbage defense for rondo.
the guy is a bum. he had the BEST job in the nba and was a bum all year. the best thing he did all year was put his head in sam cassell’s arm path on his way to the rim….FUNNY!!

He doesn’t need to be a star. He’s a solid pg who takes care of the ball, distributes, and plays D. They don’t need him to put up 15-20, that’s not his role. But in terms of him having an ad campaign, I’m not so sure about that.

Rondo is fast as hell, a solid driver, and a GREAT defender that gets a ton of steals. He’s a good passer and can push the tempo. His shot’s also coming along (it’s vastly improved this year though still needs a lot of work) and he’s developed a tear drop. I’m admittedly not a huge Devin Harris fan so that may be biased, but I’d take him over Felton or Jameer without a doubt (remember, the game’s played on TWO ends of the court and Rondo is a great defender.) Also, remember that we’re talking about a guy who just turned 21 and is just scratching the surface against a bunch of guys who’ve already just about hit what they will be in the pros.
and Rondo gets an ad campaign cuz people LOVE him here. Nothing more, nothing less (and again, the idea of the campaign is horrible!)

Whoa rondo is not better than Devin Harris or Jameer Nelson. He’s a starter by default on a salary strapped team. If he wasn’t flanked by all stars and hall of famers. He would be exposed for who he truely is a Smush Parker clone!!!! Come on now! How about getting Perkin’d. That dude is balling. Rondo still makes to many stupid mistakes for me.

stop hating on rondo. he is a good pg thata gonna get that much better. he is getting the reebok ad in boston because he is popular up there and thata what matters for the fans….as far as his game goes, he once he learns better ball control and develop a better feel for the game as far as decision making he will be a beast. he’s young and has mad upside. . he lucked out because he is gaining the experience playing with future hall of famers. that alone will push your game and give you confidence for the future. and he is doin good as a second year player. he isn’t cp3 or d. will or mr. longoria. but a lot of pgs take time to develop….look at mr big shot and nash
