Off topic, but I’ve been really trying to figure out who I want the Sixers to pick up.

    I was looking a a few guys
Jason Thompson, Marreese Speights, JJ Hickson,

The toughest guy? JJ Hickson and that’s what the sixers are lacking, but with Reggie Evans on the squad I need a big that can play the 4/5 and help block shots along with scoring.

Speights - looks like a game changer, but questions about his work-ethic is an automatic turnoff for me. I can’t root for a guy who plays ball, because that’s what’s there for him to do. You got to have a drive…

Jason Thompson is the guy I’m pulling for right now. A legit 6-11 guy who has all the tools. He is not just a good rebounder, but he is a high volume rebounder that goes after the ball. He blocks/changes shots. He has nice touch up to 20ft and he actually has a post game. He really needs to get in the weight room, but he is a 4 year player that has consistently excelled. He hasn’t played the greatest competition consistently, but he won his match up with Beasley (his team loss the game though). Jason had 24pts,7rebs,4blks and Beasley had 13 and 10 (admittedly Beasley wasn’t shutdown by Jason, but rather andre Gilbirt was on fire taking away some of his touches).

I just hope the sixers don’t take some tall stiff that’s going to sit overseas and be forgotten…

I heard from someone who’s in the know that the Sixers could very well end up with DeAndre Jordan.

  3. Kobeef says:

Here’s a trade that answers a lot of questions and I think would work for both teams.

Miami trades #2 + Marion to Clips for #7 + Brand

Clips get Mayo at #2 and start
    Mayo
    SG?
    Thornton
    Marion
    Kaman

Heat don’t really care who they get at #7 but it will be one of Gordon, Bayless, Augustin and start

    Bayless
    Wade
    Brand
    SF?
    Blount

  4. Austin Burton says:

Where do you think that leaves Beasley? To Minnesota at #3? Seattle at #4?

  5. Kobeef says:

Beasley goes to ‘Sota at 3 and McHale instantly has one of the NBA’s up and coming young teams (which instantly pisses–off Portland’s GM)

    PG - Foye
    SG - Brewer
    SF - Gomes
    PF - Beasley
    C - Jefferson
