    Some of you need to stop playing dumb. You know back then that team was built around Shaq, Kobe wasn’t even 1/2 as good as he is now and guess what? he still couldn’t get it done. If Kobe could do it alone Gasol on the team or not wouldn’t have mattered. If you ask me the MVP should have went to Chris Paul or Gasol himself. The Lakers didn’t clinch the #1 spot in the West until after Gasol was traded. Kobe just gets all the hype bc he’s the “franchise player”. Your right Kobe is about to win a gold medal, with a supporting cast of NBA All-Stars. Don’t get me wrong Kobe is a good player, but people are so quick to give him credit where he has not earned it. IT WAS BC OF KOBE! no Kobe just had a part in it but it was not 100% him…..

    If you play ball you know what a big man in the middle, esp. one like Shaqnosis (remember those sneakers). When Shaq was manning the post teams had to shift the defense to him, leaving KB24 (or do you call him KB8 at the time) to roam and do his thing. KB24/8 1 on 1 vs. any defender in the league? Advantage KB24/8.

    Those two should have 5 or 6 rings. Not saying it was Kobe’s fault, but whoever started it was stupid. They’d be at minimum a fistfull of rings in the game right now.
