* The Grizzlies and Heat have exchanged at least five offers, all of which have fallen through. According to the Memphis Edge, the Grizzlies think that the Heat are asking for too much. They want Mike Miller, Kyle Lowry or Mike Conley, the No. 5 pick, and for the Grizz to take on one of their bad contracts (either Mark Blount or Marcus Banks). Memphis is balking at anything that involves Conley - he’s become “an absolute deal-breaker.”

* Don’t expect to see the Grizzlies work something with the Knicks that involves David Lee. His agent informed Memphis that he wouldn’t sign a free-agent deal with that club.

* Leandro Barbosa was supposedly crying when a friend prank called him and, pretending to be the Knicks, said he was traded to New York. Barbosa said he wasn’t crying and that he wouldn’t be upset to be reunited with D’Antoni.

* We’d heard earlier about the Wizards trying to move down to the Rockets’ 25th selection. If that does go through, expect to see Luther Head on the move. The Wizards are looking for an impact player to support the Gilbert, Antawn, Caron trio, and believe that Head might be that guy.

* This isn’t a great deal for Knicks fans. The New York Times is reporting a rumor that Donnie Walsh is entertaining a swap with Portland that would send David Lee and the 6th pick to the Blazers in exchange for the 13th and 27th picks in addition to Steve Blake or Jarrett Jack.

* If they don’t do that, Rod Thorn insists that the Knicks are going to take Danilo Gallinari.

* The Cavs are looking to move up to get into range of Brandon Rush.
