Are You Watching the NBA 2008 Orlando Pro Summer League?
We’re trying to. You can only watch the games on the Orlando Magic’s site, and so far, it’s pretty horrible. The video gets hung up every few seconds, the viewing window is tiny, you can’t see the score, and there is nothing to indicate who is who. Are you all having the same issues?
If you’re going to be the only place in the world to broadcast these games, you would think you’d do your best to make them relatively watchable. Especially with the Michael Beasley/Derrick Rose matchup coming up later this afternoon.

I tried watching off of NBA.com, and it was pretty bad. Sounds better than what you are getting, they are following play and showing the score (like, showing the scoreboard ala 1985 Steelers-Browns or something) but the announcers are reading emails on air and you can’t tell who anyone is.
I did listen briefly in between games and some douche was talking on his cell phone and cussin. That was probably the best part.

Austin Burton says:
My video is running fine, but the announcers are TERRIBLE. It sounds like they got two daytime talk radio guys from an Orlando station who don’t know anything about basketball and are spending all their time giggling at each other’s jokes.

Dime Magazine says:
the announcers are ridiculous. they’re laughing at their own inside jokes and not even paying attention to the game. most people can’t even see the players on the computer screen – would be nice to at least hear what’s going on.

The conversations about Taco Bell and when it’s appropriate to hug another man from behind were riveting.

Come on guys, at least they are coming up with names for the new OKC team. Names heard so far, Drillers, Bandits, Outlaws, Cyclones, Ostriches, and my new favorite the Oklahoma City Slickers

Its streaming fine for me and I’m in the UK! I think the announcers are pretty funny! Anything is better than the idiots we get calling games over here!

Video is fine. Announcers are absolutely hilarious though. I love random ish like that. “Remember that monster game from Gabe Muoneke? Wow, monster game. And you remember where that got him…? Belgium!” LOLOLOLOL

I haven’t had any problems with it. Though I did mute the announcers after I figured out who was on the court.

mine’s running pretty good, steams with no skips on the nba.com player. the announcers are the usual time fillers, and they only pan to the scoreboard every ten minutes or so…. but vid quality is good…. do you guys at dime need to upgrade to broadband? ;P

I’m so not feeling the announcers. It’s ok to insert a joke here and there, but their commentary is so irrelevant.

Anyone know their email?

It is bad but you know you can turn the sound off. I was listening to the new RZA album and watching the game. However it is frustrating not knowing who’s who or the score.
