Candace Parker Signature Shoe
Candace Parker has been making big moves since her WNBA debut. Not only is she currently averaging 17.7 ppg along with 9.2 boards (On July 6th she dropped 31 points 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks on the Phoenix Mercury), but she was selected to the U.S. Women’s Senior National Team and has inked a plethora of endorsement deals. The other “CP3” will be the new face for Gatorade as well as have her own signature adidas performance shoe.
We got a hold of her new kicks and they’re pretty hot. Draped in the L.A Lakers/Sparks’ purple and yellow colorway the shoe boasts star-like embroidery which goes along with the Lakers/Sparks theme. Adding to the aesthetic appeal is Candace’s nickname “Ace,” which graces the support strap across the front of the sneaker.
Definitely a hot shoe. If she wears them in the Olympics it will be interesting to see what special make-up adidas creates for her.

This one looks kind of close, it looks like a Reebok Iverson shoe had sex with a 2000-era Kobe shoe and then Candace made a girly-looking signature on the thing that fell out afterward.
What I’m really waiting for is some amazon-looking 7ft female-shaq-type WBNA player who comes in and just dominates and looks crazy as hell doing it. like she just runs around blocking everyone’s shots and doing the KG fist pump and yelling obscenities, but on every single play. that will be the first WNBA game I watch in its entirety. and you have to imagine her shoe would look extra manly and badass.

Secure men have no problems wearing these. A basketball shoe is a shoe. The ladies have been wearing guys signature shoes without freaking out about it, why can’t we? If they come in anything other than Laker/Sparks colors, I’m in.

before this even came out i thought that her shoe should be in atleast these three colors!! (basically the colors of the teams she has played on!) atleast red and grey for her high school! and orange and light blue for tennessee and then this shoe is perfect for her sparks!!! and if wanted maybe a red white and blue for her usa team!! id love to rock these kicks!

women have been wearing mens basketball shoes for ages without necessarily being “groupies”. if the shoe looked good and was comfortable, there was no problem. and we did it without becoming butch (for the most part). at the end of the day, if you have a little “girl” in you, it was there before the shoe came out and wearing them or not wearing them won’t make it go away. if you’re secure in your manhood, wearing a good lookin shoe that’s also comfortable, regardless of who it’s endorsed by won’t matter. “‘bitch’…is it in you?”
