Celtics Lose James Posey … But Gain Patrick O’Bryant

The Celtics have announced the official signing of Warriors free agent and super-Lottery disappointment Patrick O’Bryant. Or as the Boston fans in the office will undoubtedly say tomorrow: “The Best Backup Center in the NBA,” “The Next Bill Russell” or something in between (see the end of this installment of SMACK to see what we’re talking about).

In other free agent news
Tyronn Lue signs with the Bucks.
I’m guessing all those rumors about Lue getting offers from PHX, Miami , etc were bogus because who really “decides” to sign with the Bucks? (We saw how RJ reacted: “it’ll be ok, I didn’t want to be in NJ either when I first arrived”)

Can’t fault the Celtics fans for being optimistic no matter how delusional they may be about this signing.

James Posey was the bridge that the big three, and Rajon needed to win big games! Its going to be fun watching the C’s try to pull a rabbit out of their hats now without J.Po
