Don’t Get Dropped
I was out in Philly and DC this weekend checking out two all star games featuring the best from Philly and DC versus my boy’s reppin New York. The games were great and all three teams featured some guys that did their thing. DC got a treat when New York Knick Nate Robinson suited up.
Nate definitely is used to the playground game. You see flashes of it while Nate is playing in MSG, but if you didn’t know “Nasty” Nate has stupid ball handling skills.
It got me thinking. Who in the NBA besides the obvious names like B. Dizzle, Steve Francis, Skip, Tinsley, and Steph have crazy handles?

Worst handles… aint sure about his legitimacy but Eddie House runs point occasionally for Boston and looks like he O.D’ed on sleeping pills and tequila, and rarely dribbles below nipple level.

You can’t put guys like Odom and Ginobili on this list, since they can only go left. Ambidexterity is crucial in ballhandling, I say.

and just like in the clips above…d-wade has some handles too! he can split a double team like nobody’s business. it doesn’t have to be a PG who has the handles.

Deron Williams has a list of guys he’s just killed (just in the playoffs alone: that x-over that made jaques vaughn fall down and try to trip him with him hands, and the double x-over on fisher on the same play). He and CP3 should be on this list.
For point fowards you can’t go wrong with odem and kirlenko (lenko gets a ton of dimes making stupid passes off of his dribble — like through the legs of Chris Bosh to boozer for the dunk)

TJ Ford has an amazing handle.
Deron Williams has a superb handle but nobody really talks about it. Obviously Nash. And I hate to say this but when he was actually playing Ridnour had some nice handles, though he got raped on defense.
Among bigger guys Lebron has a really underrated handle.
