Dyanasty: The Rise of the Boston Celtics

Along with tons of gear, new hoop books are sent to us almost every day. Some of them are trash, but many of them look pretty good. Today looks like one of those good shipments with the arrival of “Dynasty: The Rise of the Boston Celtics.”
Written by veteran sportswriter Lew Freedman, who basically grew up with the Celtics in the 60s and 70s, the book gives a behind-the-scenes account of how Red Auerbach and Bill Russell built one of sports’ greatest franchises.
We’ll check it out and let you know here or in an upcoming issue of the magazine if it’s worth your time and money.
