def not a vince carter layup lol…besides vince hasn’t dunked close to the since what, his rookie year now that hes a jump shooter and all. And they didnt say best dunk, they said best dunk most people havnt seen.
“In 1991, Jordan and a group of friends went on a week long gambling spree at his Hilton Head home in North Carolina, golfing all day and playing poker all night. By the time it ended, Jordan was into James “Slim” Bouler for $57,000 and Eddie Dow for $108,000. This in and of itself wouldnt be such a big deal except for the fact that Bouler was a convicted cocaine dealer and had two probation violations for carrying semiautomatic weapon”
“Then in February of 1992, Jordan’s gambling associate Eddie Dow was robbed of $20,000 and murdered just outside his home. In Dow’s belongings they found photocopies of three checks that totaled $108,000 the exact amount Jordan had lost to him months earlier. Two of the checks were from Jordan’s personal account. The third was a cashier’s check made out by Jordan.”
I think that dunk is very impressive. the average windmill dunk is done cupping the ball with the forearm for security. he’s holding it in his hand the whole time like a volleyball. of course Jordan has very large hands which makes it easier.
That Midsummer Night’s Magic highlight has been around for awhile. I’ve seen that one before. It just may live up to the thread’s billing. It’s possible that there’s other footage that a lot of people haven’t seen. I think that was from the 91, judgng by MJ’s kicks, but I’m not sure
@Dagomar
When it comes to JUST DUNKING not only can you compare VC to MJ it’s fair to say that he’s better than MJ. VC is probably the best in-game dunker of all time. The only people who can compare are Shawn Kemp (close 2nd) and maybe LBJ we have to wait and see what he keeps on coming with but even then his dunking legacy is tarnished cause he never entered an nba dunk contest.
Like everything else in Carters game, his dunks are soft.
MJ came with the thunder and brought the house down. He wasn’t a fancy boy trying to play for the crowd. MJ was about winning and dishing out the pain.
It’s embarassing that there are still people that have the balls to compare Vince to MJ…….even if it’s just about dunking. They are either fringe NBA fans, or they were born after 1990.
