Mike Beasley Is Big-Timing Dwyane Wade
B-Easy (photo. Matt Brown)More than anyone at the NBA Draft last week, Mike Beasley had an entourage that, including the members of his former DC Assault AAU team, could have numbered in the triple digits. And now that all those people are calling and congratulating him on making it to the NBA (and to South Beach), some of his future teammates aren’t able to get through to the rook - namely Dwyane Wade. It’s nothing serious - just some playful banter through the media. But Wade still made the claim that he’s being “big-manned” by the Heat’s newest acquisition.
“He big-manned me. He didn’t call me back,” Wade said. “I know it’s very hectic for him right now. His voice mail is very full. I told him I hope to talk to him this week, hopefully, while I’m in town. I know how busy it is for him. Everyone’s calling and wanting to talk to him. He’s got a lot going on. But he kind of big-manned me a little bit.”

Dwyane got snubbed. That’s a great way to start off your career there Beasley. No one’s ever too busy to make a damn call. Looks like draft pick #2 needs some rookie type manners lessons.

err…overeaction…this is like PTI debating whether or not Derrick Rose going 105 on a chicago highway was a big deal
the answer is NO not at in the leaaaaast. be easy got drafted a week ago, everything is still crazy for him, im sure keepin up to date with voice mails and phone calls arent priority number one for him…and i think we’ve all seen dwade on tv, the guy jokes around. why would dwade, who didnt trash shaq at all, trash his new teammate in the press on day one?? let beasley enjoy this time, he just spent the last x months working out for scouts.
and about rose….speeding ticket is a total non issue. i gurantee EVERYONE in chicago’s front office sped before..so to hold rose to a higher standard is just absurd.

I can just see Wade following Beasley around begging to be in his top 5.

@Spliff
“begging to be in his top 5″ hilarious.
People settle down - Wade was just poking fun at B’easy - if anything this is good news cause it shows Wade and B’easy are already about to joke around with each other.
By all accounts Riles and Miami love B’easy and feel they got the best player in the draft.

I can’t wait for Beasely to substitute Riley’s hair gel for some Nair. Five minutes later, Riley will be trading Beasely to the Cavs for a vial of Craig Ehlo’s tears.

You know those guys you end up meeting at like a party or something, who’s nothing but a TOOL, and everyone knows it except for a bunch of dope chicks, and you can’t figure out why, cause he’s a TOOL, but you can’t say anything because you’ll look like a hater?
Beasley looks like one of those guys. I hate him already, and I’ve never really seen him play.
