Pass the Mic: NBA Vegas Summer League Live Blog

Chris BoshChris Bosh’s little bro needs a big game.

Six games on the Vegas Summer League schedule today, with three of them airing on NBA TV:

* Mavericks/Pistons, 4 p.m. EST — Normally we’d pick Rodney Stuckey and Arron Afflalo to make light work of Dallas’ backcourt of Keith McLeod and Renaldas Seibutus, but Stuckey missed Detroit’s last game with an injured toe, and the team looked awful without him. Also check for Gerald Green and Amir Johnson, two guys with potential who need venues like this to shine.

* Raptors/76ers, 8 p.m. EST — Philly’s front line of Jason Smith, Marreese Speights and Thaddeus Young has been killing. Say a little prayer for Toronto’s Stephen Graham, Hassan Adams and C.J. Giles. Will this be the game when Joel Bosh does something notable?

* Blazers/Timberwolves, 10 p.m. EST — As good as Jerryd Bayless has been (27 ppg, 5 rpg), Kevin Love isn’t doing too bad himself (18 ppg, 15 rpg). The rookies will also share the stage with Corey Brewer.

The online live-stream schedule features Hornets/Clippers at 6 p.m. EST (Julian Wright, Al Thornton); Spurs/Suns at 8:30 p.m. EST (Alando Tucker, D.J. Strawberry); and Nuggets/Bucks at 10:30 p.m. EST (Joe Alexander, Ramon Sessions).

Use this space to post your observations, scouting reports and breakdowns of the action as it happens, and we’ll look for the best ones to put in tomorrow’s Smack.

Note to Johnson, does it even matter anymore, they both get the same amount of tick in the regular season, lol.

I like Joey, but damn he fell off the radar QUICK.

  3. Data says:

Joey is good for one or two highlight dunks a year (sometimes he’s receiving them though)

  4. Don Mega says:

joey should just quit the league and go right into Proactiv infomercials

i hate to say this but….
muscle heads are usually not the brightest
and those two have great bodies but are as dumb as hell on the court, they still don’t know how to take advantage of their strength and size.
