Yao Ming Reebok Olympic Shoe

After a season that saw Yao Ming get off to a great start (22ppg and 10.8 rpg), the Houston Rockets’ fans were devastated when Yao went down February 24th with a foot injury. No one was more distraught than his fans and fellow countrymen back in China.
They are relying on Yao to help Yi Jianlian and Wang Zhi-Zhi fight for the gold medal, especially since tthese Olympics are being held in China.

Yao will be sporting these kicks exclusively made for him. While most of his teammates will be rocking the Chinese National Team Hyperdunk by Nike, Yao’s shoe is made by the good ‘ole folks at Reebok.
Embodying elements of Chinese culture, Yao’s shoe pays homage to his roots. It is an honor to represent your country in the Olympics, especially for the Chinese who are hosting. Just like Yao’s shoe we’re pretty sure The Chinese Men’s National Team doesn’t disappoint.

I like the idea of the dragon, but that golden plastic thing accross the shoe, and those, dunno… Lego blocks? in the sole are awwwwful: this shoe reminds me of cheap Chinese restaurants.
