Breaking News: Knicks trade for Patrick Ewing Jr.

%INSERT-TITLE-HERE %INSERT-TITLE-HERE

Who didn’t see this coming? The more surprising parts are that, (1) The Rockets actually accepted New York’s draft rights to FREDERIC WEIS in exchange for Ewing Jr., who picked up the nickname “The Legacy” in the Dime office during his Georgetown run, and (2) That the Knicks even remembered that they had Weis’ rights.

Basketball-wise, Ewing Jr. is a hustle player who can play some D and fill in that Renaldo Balkman-type role as a small forward/power forward in New York. But really, this seems morel like a PR move or a favor to Knicks legend Patrick Ewing Sr., who will be enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame next week.

    who?

  2. Ansonious says:

Who holds the record for be traded the most before the season even begins? Cause I tell ya this kid has to be on their heels by now. First the Kings, then the Rockets, and now the Knicks what a joke.

  3. it aint easy being green says:

hearing about this right after watching the video a few articles back, i cant help but wonder if pip has a son that can gracefully place his nuts on jr’s forehead. other than that, this is a trade i just dont consider to be what i call “ground-breaking” sorry.

  4. kevin k says:

who cares, its not like he will get any playing time regardless. D’Antoni doesn’t like guys who can’t shoot or play D

  5. Amar says:

I’m sure Pip has a few sons out there, he’s like a better organized Shawn Kemp when it comes to the whole r-strategest p.o.v.

  6. A-Slam says:

I don’t think Frederic Weiss will ever get the taste of Vince Carter’s balls out of his mouth

  7. David Brandon says:

what the hell?! hahaha wow…so i talk about how much i can’t stand dude earlier on and then he’s following in his daddy’s footsteps? i just dont like the ewings. i’m just glad he’s outta sac, personally. the knicks can have his ass. does anybody remember those green kicks ewing sr. had looooong time ago? my brother got those when they dropped. i thought they were nike’s… green and white with a big ass swoosh. crazy pair of kicks.

i hope there’s no more patrick ewings that pop up in the L…can’t take much more man. lol

  8. GEE...Chicken Noodle Soup says:

DB I think you would have a better chance at more than three Kemps poppin up in the L before another Ewing.

I am trippin that the Rockets didn’t keep dude though. He provides energy and defense. You always need a workhorse cat. Not that the Rockets don’t have plenty already.

Perhaps someone can help me out, how does getting the rights to Weis help the Rockets out. Maybe money wise, but man come on.

Well I guess I am happy for dude cause at least he gets to go where daddy was doing it. Hope he handles his. At least he can most def. run with the system.

  9. David Brandon says:

    GEE,

man, you guys already took ronnie from us, then you took ewing jr (which i won’t fight you for, hahaha), you guys had jon barry…but i guess its a wash. whenever i see chuck hayes at the stripe, i get dizzy. very, very dizzy.
and you guys are stuck with the guy with the permanent sac imprint on his face? thats like having a really bad birthmark. its like that 6 degrees of seperation thing…if we break it down, i wonder what else patrick ewing and frederic weis have in common.

  10. Ian the statboy says:

    lol at post 4

  11. Austin Burton says:

So does this mean Weis is any closer to ever coming to the NBA? How old is he now?

  12. David Brandon says:

as long as vince is still hoopin in the L, i dont think weis even wants to THINK about comin out!

  13. GEE...Chicken Noodle Soup says:

DB you know how coaches try to get their favorite cats. We do got a lot of Sacto running through what we do now. Preshate you all helpin us out lol.

Maybe if Weis comes on in lol, that will bring back that old Vince?

DB lol at the bad birthmark, cause yea having dude is really like having that for real.

  14. Luigi says:

    Fredrick Weis….LMFAO!!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

another reason to watch the Rockets/Nets. i can just imagine if VC posterizes Weis again IF!. he even gets a chance

good lord. Ewing Jr??…i guess he can pull out the potential like his father..but the father was WAYYYY better. and Ewing Jr. is lucky if he gets any Burn. dude needs 2 prove himself. unless he goes James White + D

  15. David Brandon says:

Gee, i dont even blame him. why wouldnt you want a guy who can seriously play the 2 3 4 and against okafor, the 5. lol

and if the old vince comes back, then bryant reeves gets a reprieve too…

and you know what, Gee, we’re cool man, so you can have any of our players that are prone to fight somebody at the drop of a technical foul. i.e., anthony peeler when he was a king and elbowed KG in the mouth… you remember that!! hahahaha

hahaha i can’t even think of anything else funny to say about the birthmark man… haha

  16. isotope says:

nah. the rockets did it so they wouldnt have to pay ewing. I think his contract would have been guaranteed if they didnt trade him by tomorrow or something like that. In other words, they just got rid of the $$ and the roster spot. Weiss aint coming to the L anytime soon.

  17. A-Slam says:

I honestly believe Weis won’t come to the NBA because he’s afraid of getting more balls to the face

  18. heartbreaker85 says:

i bet weis still has nightmares of vince tea-bagging him

  19. Bron42 aka coffee black says:

I wonder if the vince thing is how weiss invisions all americans now…
