New Nike Team USA TV Commercial
This morning we got word that Nike Basketball have dropped their new commercial for the Olympics. The spot is set to Marvin Gaye‘s live version of “The Star Spangled Banner” from the 1983 All-Star Game in L.A. and showcases Team USA in training camp practices leading up to Beijing. The spot will start airing everywhere tomorrow but you can check it out HERE. Very cool … Take a look and let us know what you think of it.

I love it, but mostly just for Marvin. I wish they would do this post-Gold with some real footage cut in. But damn nice anyway.

Yeah it has been shown, I think during the Russia game at halftime. CRAZY commercial, though. Marvin Gaye is one of the coolest brothers of all time.

Not American, but I thought it woud have been better. I woud have done like a movie trailor with a look at all of them trainning over the 4 years … kinda like rocky.

I am not sure where you are from but you might not like it because you are not American. Marvin Gaye is an American icon in our music world… this was the perfect commercial for that very fact. Why show them training over 4 years when they were screwing up back then, world games, FIBA, etc… obviously they were not training hard enough. They did exactly what they were suppose to do… show current practices since this resulting in getting the gold. One word… PERFECT!!!
