Obviously, there are lots of potential problems out there for Team USA in the Olympics. Aside from the usual suspects (Yao, Pau, Dirk, etc.), who are some of the international players who could potentially cause issues for Team USA? ESPN put together a page of video highlight packages of 15 different guys in this summer’s Olympics who could do just that.

I can see a guy like Croatia’s Marko Popvic creating some havoc because he’s a shooter with range who runs the floor and has a quick release. In these Team USA exhibition games, the U.S. squad hasn’t been so great with their transition defense and closing out on shooters…

Team USA shouldn’t be worried about individuals they should be worried about teams. No single player is going to beat the US but they could very well be beat by athletically inferior teams who play great team basketball.
