Dear Christian…You never know what will pop off down here at the Dime Factory. Earlier today I was chillin at my desk pumpin out emails, watching the Little League World Series when Charlie, our UPS guy, drops this box off with my name on it.
Stuff comes through here all the time so it wasn’t anything out of the norm. I opened up the box, and enclosed was another box with a letter attached that read;

Now, I have to give it to the Clipse for that one. That had to be the most interesting and creative way to market a product. I took the t-shirt out the box and honestly, I wasn’t impressed. It just seemed like a tee with a regular logo. I have to admit though, the quality of the shirt was above average.
Play ClothsGranted, this is one of the clothing line’s first pieces, so I didn’t scrutinize the shirt too much. Besides…we all know how Pusha and Malice get down, and I know ya’ll don’t want the kid all yapped up over a T-shirt, right?..I mean especially since they have my mailing address.

I know it’s mad to compare a magazine and a Rap Group but Clipse/Re-Up and Dime kinda got the same ambiance about them.
That kinda I’m-smarter-then-you swag, which they can pull off because, in most cases, they are.
The reason they haven’t blown is because they cater to a niche audience and half the shit they say goes over people’s head. This will sound mad but it’s kinda like a European Swag. They almost like a group of LDN cats.

Shouldn’t it be “Play Clothes”? Do you think “Cloths” is intentional? They’re talking about creating a line that reminds wearers of childhood play CLOTHES. Doesn’t add up if ya ask me.
