Glen Rice at MichiganWe’re down to the final four, with one real shock. No surprise on Reggie Miller, Glen Rice, or Ray Allen advancing to the semi’s. But Dell Curry knocking off Flattop Jesus (b.k.a. Chris Mullin)?
Over the course of his career, Mullin was a more accurate shooter than anyone else in the field, converting 50.9% of his attempts from the floor. And he scored almost 5,000 points more than Curry over the course of his career, shooting “ice cold daggers,” as reader “atom” wrote.
But, in Dell’s defense, Chris wasn’t a “three-point shooter” by trade. Even if Mullin was a more dangerous player than Curry, his stroke from beyond the three wasn’t as picturesque. Nonetheless, we can’t make the executive decision to overrule your votes even if we (cough, cough, Pat) thought that Mullin was the greatest shooter ever.
