We Reminisce: Michael Redd sets franchise record with 57 points
Michael Redd has been getting a lot of grief during Team USA’s run for the gold, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to remind some people that Redd’s still one of the best in the business. On Nov. 11, 2006, Redd broke a Bucks franchise record when he stamped 57 points on the Jazz (6-for-12 beyond the arc). I remember watching this game as it happened, as the Bucks came all the way back from a 25-point deficit and were poised to steal a win after Redd’s game-tying triple, but then Deron Williams went coast-to-coast in about 0.6 seconds and dimed Matt Harpring for the game-winner.

What’s funny is Redd gets up higher when he’s shooting jumpers than he does going to the hoop. He can barely jump when he goes to the hoop, he kind of just hops.

and let’s not forget, andrei got injured in that game in the 1st quarter, so had andrei been available, i don’t think redd would have gotten 57. dude, austin can give matt harpring buckets.

Vance — not all black guys are super athletic finishers . . . look at Dell Curry’s career, or Rip Hamilton . . . they are hard working jump shooters like Redd who did their jobs by making shots.
