We Reminisce: Scottie Pippen Flushes On Patrick Ewing
Everyone has a favorite dunk from their favorite player. Today we share with you one of our all time favorite facials. Scottie Pippen straight up disrespected Patrick Ewing on this flush. What makes this dunk even more riveting is that it was done during game six of the NBA playoffs. After embarrassing Ewing and the state of New York for that matter, Pippen made it his duty to walk over to the sideline and tell Spike Lee all about it. Check out Ewing’s face at the 43 second mark, the poor man’s feelings are hurt.

He got TEABAGGED then Pippen went and gave Spike the “Do The Right Thing”special

tommy the cat says:
That’s a real basket. I’m sick of all these “highlights” where there’s either no one defending or the defender is trying to avoid a foul. Legitimate cram against legitimate D. Sick.
I think Ewing should have gotten a T for taking a swipe at Scottie’s nuts while he was standing over him.

One of my favorite of all time. Pip didn’t have to do him like that.

Why’d Pip have to stand over him with his nuts like 3 inches from Pat’s face………Pip woulda been ejected in 08′ for pulling something like that.

One of the reasons Pippen was my favorite player for years…
I guess the haters will say MJ lifted Pippen and coached him to check Spike…
This guy was The best 5-Tool (yes a Baseball term: Shoot, Pass, Handle, Rebound, Defend) players to ever play the game.
Tommy:
Ewing wasn’t taking a swipe at his nuts, he was trying to get them off his forehead…Just Nasty…

IAMRICH says:
what’s funny about this dunk, right after that game a went and turned on my sega genesis and popped in nba live 95, and i actually caught ewing with the same o handed dunk from the same side of the basket…lol…all i needed was spike lee in the crowd, and ewings face when scottie walked over him afterwards…simply a classic and one of the best dunks that doesnt get talked about a lot..thanks DIME for the memories when nba players actually hated their opponents while on the court, unlike the love fest we have to watch during today’s nba games

pip was so nice…i was NEVER a ewing fan (even when my kings got ewing jr i almost had to boycott in front of arco…that bad man) and i remember the first time i saw this and thinkin how bad patrick got styled on. this is one of my fav dunks, right up there with the VC dunk on Weis. his ass caught it JUST as bad, too!

IAMRICH:
I do have to say I remember Kobe and Dwade mixing up. I remember Dwade and LeBron going at it. Kobe and Raja. Vince and Ray Allen. Ray Allen and Bruce Bowen. Wizards and Cleveland. I agree the rivalries are not as vicious, but there are times where the competitors go at each other.
We are not going to see a Doctor J vs Bird exchange (TIGER UPPERCUT!!…LMAO) in the NBA these days, because the League isn’t as forgiving in their endorsement of how much they really want to allow these guys to show their competitive nature. The took the Soccer-type feel out of playoff games, where you would really want to fight if someone was talking junk about your team…

CLASSIC
Damn we hated NYC too. That was one of sickest dunks ever
I remember watching that game and seeing the play unfold. He even throws in a little push on Pat before laying his nuts on that high top fade

Kermit the Washington says:
Pip’s closest shot at a title without MJ, robbed by the refs at the end of game 6. I’m still hurt by that
Pip’s other chance was 2000 against the Lakers, when they collapsed in game 7. I’m still hurt by that one too.

Man I miss those battles so much
August 29th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
the haters POV says:
For real Kermit, they jerked Pip. The refs were missing blatant calls. The refs also jerked the Blazers, but they had no business blowing that big a lead. My last image of that series was Pip knocking over a shelf with a bunch of towels on his way back to the locker room.

kevin k says:
dunk was sick, but it was the rivarly(plus spike lee) and the moment that made the dunk sicker. It’s unfortunate that we don’t have that kind of rivary and playoff series now in the league. More than the leauge becoming soft, it’s the bitchass pussy players that is ruining everything. Some guy named Yooooooo was on the money in the early slam post about Rudi and Nate where he mentioned about how we are raising the players weak in AAU and high school. players bitch and cry about everything now instead of just playing ball. I miss the old NBA where almost every playoff series was intense and had rivarys.

Is this the same year that Pippen sat out the last couple of seconds because the play was not drawn up for him? Then Toni Kucoc hit the game winner at the buzzard… I remember the game being against the Knicks and at Chicago.
