Before Shaq asked Kobe how is a** tastes, the Lakers were in the business of winning chips. En route to the NBA crown in 2000, they looked just as good as done before the Portland Trailblazers imploded. Peep this video of Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals and Shaq playing volleyball with the Blazers shot attempts.

Some good songs on this video too.
I almost feel bad for scottie, he was one of my all time fav players, but then again he has 6 rings. The Lakers of this time were a damn machine with shaq in his prime-good mix of youngsters and vets. Damn! I’m getting jacked up for this season. Go Lakers.

Let me tell a quick anecdote…..So My junior of High School we are set to play Dominguez and in walks Tyshaun Prince and some one on my team, says “Yo thats the Kid thats going Pro” and my team is like “DAMN SHAQ IS GOING TO BE MASHING ON HIM” and I am like “HELL Naw that aint him thats Prince he has a brother who plays for Pepperdine” then a few minutes later Chandler walks in in street clothes (he didnt play) and I tell my team “Thats the CHandler kid” …my homie then says “SHAQ IS STILL BANGING ON THAT KID” and i was like “dude is a freshman no way he goes to college”. Sure enough three years later he went pro. But the thing I remember most about Dominguez high was the year before they had Kenny Brunner and he terrorized people on defense …… Who remembers the PG from Providence named Linehan?? damn got the fucking guy play D

That has to be a painful 5 minutes for Blazers fans. All-time collapse, and the Blazers never recovered. Ouch. Here they come, though.

I remember this game so well. 2000 game 7 against Portland, 2002 game 4 against Sacramento, 2006 game 4 against Phoenix, probably some of the best playoff games ever.
Lakers were absolutely DONE in this game, down by 15. They were playing bad defense, no flow on offense. Then we had one possession where none of the players were moving around or anything, and Brian Shaw threw up a HORRIBLE 3 that somehow banked in. Then he buried two more during the run, Lakers win, and Scottie Pippen attacks a giant plastic bag on his way back to the locker room.

Who cares about how many chips shaq/kb8 could have won, I’m glad they departed. yeah I’m hating a bit, but that’s because sheed and the boys should have that series. Dime is getting me all worked up over a series that happen a long time ago, but that game seems like yesterday to me. I actually miss those days, going to basketball clinics and camps and than going back to the hotel room to watch the series. Sheed was nasty in game 6, the best part about that game was when sheed dunked on horry, and horry fell on his ass.

It’s an even better clip at the end of this clip. It has Kobe vs MJ 98 matchup, where they contrast MJ and Kobe’s performances and the keep saying how Kobe’s the future and you get to watch the two interact. Cool clip. I remember watching that game. I think the game after or before the Lakers Blow the bulls out in LA…Good stuff.
