“Coach” Jay-Z speaks on LeBron vs. DeShawn and hoop psychology

OK, I’m back. So the last issue of Vibe had Jay-Z on the cover, and in the cover story he was asked about his involvement in LeBron James and DeShawn Stevenson’s feud from last season that spilled over into the Cavs/Wizards playoff series and will no doubt be a story line when the two teams meet on Christmas Day. Jay’s response:
“I had no intention to talk about the DeShawn Stevenson thing. I seen him beatin’ the s*** out of LeBron, and he really couldn’t do nothing. I really wanted to inspire [LeBron]. I sent him the ["Blow The Whistle (freestyle)"]. The song wasn’t to be released. I sent him the song to get him amped up. I do s*** like that. I hit him on the BlackBerry all the way through the playoffs. There’s a big trail of e-mails that we have where I’m almost like a coach on the sidelines for him, ’cause that’s my little brother! I’m giving him advice, even outside of, ‘Take the ball to the elbow and shoot.’ The psychology of what’s going on: That’s my role in his life.”

As for DeShawn . . . dude used to be seen as a pretty solid player who could give you some things. Now he’s just a crazy douchebag. It’s like he gave up trying to become good at what he does and just decided to be the crazy guy in the family who shows up to weddings in pink suits. Maybe it’s from losing to the Cavs three years in a row . . . .
That cover of Vibe is pretty sick though, and I don’t even think Ciara is all that hot.

Ok one question– Alot of cat’s been saying that the rockets are going to win the west? I don’t understand. TMac has never been out of the first round in his entire career, Yao is always injured and Ron is not what I would call a great chemistry guy. Last team he played for that would have possibly won the chip was the pacers and we say how that turned out.

Now one question, why is everyone saying that the rockets are going to win the chip this year or be in the west finals? T MAC has never gotten out of the first round. Ron is serious head case waiting to explode.Let’s not forget that last team he was on that could’ve made some noise… He started a riot and team chemistry has always been a problem with Ron. Yao has yet to prove he can stay healthy and after the Olympics and all that stress I doubt he’s gonna hold up. Not to mention Rick Adelman has never beaten a Phil Jax coached team.
