Danilo Gallinari Already a Bust?
Gallinari hasn’t gotten out of the draft suiteThe Knicks are officially worried. After getting hurt in his first summer league game - a mysterious “back” injury - Danilo Gallinari has been completely out of action. He’s been in Italy for the entirety of the summer, and having just arrived in New York, and the nature of this injury isn’t really known.
Danilo Gallinari’s back still isn’t 100 percent and now, with two weeks to go before training camp opens, the Knicks are starting to get concerned.
New Yorkers were ready to call the ‘08 draft a waste the moment that David Stern called Gallinari’s name on draft night. But whatever potential he showed to be a hustling small forward who can knock down an open jumper has been put on hold, as durability concerns make it tough for a scrappy player to do his job.

New York sucks. This guy was a bust before he even put his name into the draft, it’s probably good that he doesn’t play. If he did play and averaged anything more than 5pts 5rbs he’d be hailed as a hero like Renaldo Balkman was. New York media is a piece of shit, just like the entire city of NY.

ERIC says:
What is unsettling is the fact that the play he injured himeself was NOT a hard fall or big deal. If anyone else recalls, he had the ball on the left wing, pulled off a pretty sick dribble move and drove to the basket. He rose up, collided with Tractor Traylor and just fell right on his tailbone. But it wasnt a very hard fall, he popped right back up, shot his free throw then went to the bench. He hasnt been seen since. WTF? WUSSY. HIT THE WEIGHTROOM.

“The Knicks are officially worried.”
The knicks, getting their teeth kicked in nightly the last many years, with a giant payroll and without a player in the top 50, with a public relations debacle with the caption “truck party”, and about to be replaced as THE basketball team in new york by the Nets, are officially worried because a no-name rookie tweaked his back before training camp even starts. If the knicks weren’t worried before, i don’t see how they’d wake up and start caring now. This knicks era is one of the worst runs of any professional sports franchises, they need to fire the entire management chain.

Another overhyped European. I’m gonna keep saying that until one comes along that actually lives up to the hype, but I don’t see that happening. People keep gassing up these Euros with “skills”. Skills and athletic ability do not equate to basketball IQ or heart.
The Knicks circus just keeps rolling on and on….

Gallinari should have dropped to the Warriors at #14. He would still fit the style, but he would be an instant bust like he is as the #6 overall pick.

I have been to NY, several times. Spent at least a few weeks there on business. There are a few decent aspects of it, but the mentality of 95% of NYers is basically that they are the biggest dogs in the world, and just because it’s NY it’s the best. Period.
That attitude is what makes NY the piece of shit it is. Look at the Knicks, Isiah ran them face first into the ground and the whole time people are talking like they are relevant. They weren’t, aren’t and won’t be for quite sometime.
The way the Knicks are being run right now and for the last…8 years or so makes them the Bush administration of the NBA. Over hyped up mentally ill people who don’t have a clue, spending all the money they can just to spend money and gettin absolutely no results out of it. Expecting people just to give them a free pass because they are “NY”.
My opinion stands, fuck NY and if you choose to live there, fuck you too.
