Sacramento Kings new uniforms
The Kings are likely headed for the Lottery in 2009, but that didn’t stop the team from unveiling their new uniforms today under the slogan, “Dress for Success.” Not much different from the previous version; the goal was to infuse more black into the look, “While still retaining the Kings identity,” according to the Kings website. The side panels are also different, and instead of having the front say “KINGS” at home and “SACRAMENTO” on the road, it’s flip-flopped (which goes against tradition). What do you think of Sacto’s new look?

I’m really tired of teams ‘unveiling their new uniforms’ that look almost identical to the previous uniforms only more compromised, less stylized, and, well, lame. These are hideously ugly and I’d be embarrassed to wear such a uniform. They tried to go with more black and wound up with more of that terrible purple.

I used to dig the purple unis…They have now gotten tired, and yes, girlish. Those hideous gold jerseys they had were awful too. A few of you have already said it, so I won’t elaborate, but it’s time to bring back some retros or something. Maybe they need a whole new design/color scheme…
