The Old Amare Stoudemire Is Back
He can’t change his number back to 32 with Shaq now wearing that jersey, but some of us are eagerly anticipating Amare Stoudemire to come back for the ‘07-08 season as the same player he was when wearing that uniform. We’ve heard rumors about him coming to camp at 2% body fat – which is either a slight exaggeration or a typo – but it’s downright terrifying nonetheless. Check this clip of Amare pre-microfracture surgery getting after it.

I like how a lot of those highlights are on Tim Duncan. Cause we all know if it was let’s say… Brian Cardinal, it wouldn’t mean anything much.
If Amare is coming back full strength, he really need to thanks the staff, especially Mike D’Antoni for pushing him last season and the season before.
I remember he was whining a lot about his come back. I am not saying coming back from a microfracture surgery is a easy thing to do, but he just need to be thankful to those who pushed/helped him back.

I wanna see Em come back too. As much as people love him as an MC, I’m more interested in his production. He just did a remix for the Masta Ace joint “Slaughtahouse” that’s dope. When he stopped producing for 50 and Obie Trice, they started to fall off.
I’d love to see the old Amare come back too. I think he’s just as important to the Suns’ success as Nash.

hes a beast and one of the best OFFENSIVE players in the game but he isnt as important as nash remember that with amare and marion they were an 8th seed team with nash they became elite. i think nash is the best pg running the offense of his team. 3rd best foward in the game since dirk cant play d also he gets the nod from me here td kg amare dirk brand my top 5.
did anyone notice that the scores they showed vs the spurs it the same one at the start of the video and at the end i guess they couldnt find a different boxscore with a suns win vs the spurs in the playoffs.

Ok Ian, take Amare out of that lineup and see how good the Suns are. That’s all I’m saying. Give Nash all the credit in the world for turning the team around, but don’t discredit Amare. A good chunk of Nash’s assists come from pick-and-rolls with Amare anyways.
Amare’s an elite power forward, no matter how you look at it. Nash is one of the best OFFENSIVE players in the game, but he can’t play a lick of defense, so what does that say about him?
Steve Nash ain’t the only one carrying that team.

again what i meant was that nash deservessss a little bit more credit than amare for the suns success because amare can only make himself better nash has scrubs scoring in double digits. amare was there when the suns sucked nash wasnt.
btw of course they are gonna suffer if u take amare out but have u seen them play without nash they are a fukin mess

Some of those dunks from this clip look like he’s taking the whole team with him and throwing them through the basket along with the referee’s.

amare blocks a couple of duncan shots but 70% of the time duncan scores or gets fouls. does that seem like a dpoy to u.
