Adam Morrison has a new look
The Bobcats open their season tomorrow night against the Cavs. If you happen to tune in and don’t recognize the guy wearing #35 for Charlotte, you won’t be alone: The Adam Morrison “Crow” look is gone. Jared Dudley thinks Morrison looks like Jim Carrey in The Cable Guy.

From Sporting News Today:
Some folks didn’t recognize (Morrison).
Coach Larry Brown said assistant Jeff Capel peeked into the locker room and thought the short-haired guy in the corner was forward Linton Johnson, who was signed on Tuesday.
“Then he said, ‘But Linton is a black guy,’” Brown said Capel told him.

thank friggin god. i remember i was a big fan of his, his frosh year at gonzaga, but then he was too hard to look for me to even watch, so i just started hating him, if he shaves his face and remembers how to play, he might earn my fanhood back.

Capel needs to get his contact prescription renewed. Or donate his peeks to Stevie.

he needs a red flannel shirt, worn out steel toe boots, some wranglers and a piece of straw to chew and its a wrap…no more adam morrison the hooper, but adam morrison, truck driver extraordinaire.

why is adam morrison an nba story? this bum did nothing in college to warrant a lottery selection. a white boy ballplayer who can shoot isn’t hard to find. he has NOTHING else.
we all know damn well he should be in the dleague

Austin Burton says:
@yall — I wouldn’t go that far. Morrison got buckets all over the place in college; it’s not like he was just a spot-up shooter. Obviously he’s had a hard time adapting to the pro game, but he was THE MAN in college.

austin…
please. don’t gimme that he was the man garbage. he couldnt dribble in college. couldnt rebound. still cant make a left-handed layup. and can barely jump.
he averaged a lot of points, but that alone dont make you THE MAN.
..hell….courtney alexander avg lots of points in college too.
Courtney who?…..exactly!!

Austin Burton says:
I’m saying that the statement “He did NOTHING in college to warrant a Lottery selection” is erroneous. He averaged like 25-30 points a game (I didn’t look it up, sorry if I’m wrong). What more could he have done? Now if you want to say he didn’t do anything in his pre-Draft workouts, fine.

David Brandon says:
but the point still remains that all that happened in college. YEARS ago. if a player is great in collegiates, but is garbage in the L, then all that college success Almost doesnt matter anymore. especially in the “win-now” League.

Ian says:
personally i think he was the MAN in college not jj

Drink the Haterade (KB24 Chip 09) says:
@ IAN–
Morrison didn’t even have a 1/4 of the haters JJ did. In fact when Duke played Maryland and JJ was at the free throw line, the to SCREAM F**K JJ… And he would still hit’em.
Also Morrison played at Gonzaga, not Duke, or in the ACC.

Austin Burton says:
@David Brandon — You’re right, I just think that Morrison couldn’t have done much more as far as producing in college to warrant his draft position. Unless you wanna say “He should have gone to a bigger school,” he made the most of the stage he had. Does that always translate to the NBA? No. My point is just that judging by production in college, Morrison maximized his potential.

David Brandon says:
@Austin,
totally see what you mean. i was just never really huge on the guy to begin with, also. i like when a player who’s talked about a lot and hyped up to be able to do more than JUST score and thats how i view(ed) morrison. and to take it a step further, thats why i like when ppl lock up and play D. its like a lost art or something now…crazy. thats why i’m huge on guys like brandon roy, lebron, cp, caron…to name a few. all around players basically.
