Baron Davis Doesn’t Like The Clippers Effort
If you’re a Clippers fan, there is some good that came from last night’s ass-kicking at the hands of the Lakers. Baron Davis is pissed. It’s not just that they lost. It’s that they didn’t put forth the effort needed to contend against a more talented team.
Davis called a team meeting of sorts after the game, a “get-together” as he called it, to make sure that everyone was on the same page as to what a winning team really looks like.
When asked if he was upset with how the Clippers played, Davis didn’t hold back.
“Absolutely,” he said. “I mean, weren’t you upset watching? You had to watch it.”
This could be the most frustrating part of Baron’s shift from the Bay to L.A. Even if he realized that the Clippers might not be as talented as the Warriors, he’s also fighting an uphill battle of a well-established tradition of losing.
“Like I said before, they’re a machine. They know what they want. They know what they’re trying to accomplish, and they’ve just really shown us what the bar is.”

GEE....Just sing it right now! says:
CAN YOU BLAME HIM! They acted scared. When you here him on mic’ed up saying and screaming we alright we alright. Then you have to ask why is he telling his squad that? Cause them boys were playing timid and without effort.
He should be upset, disgruntle, pissed, mad, bothered and anything else you wanna add.
All that he was doing and then the rest of the team.
Welcome to LA B Diddy!

Eric Gordon needs to find a mid range game and Mike Taylor is just inexperienced… and lastly, their Coach, Dunleavy STINKS!! BD, welcome to basketball hell

They’ll get it together. And they are better than what that buzz saw did to em last night. I’m more impressed that Baron called for a team huddle right after the first game. Maybe Boom is can be a leader of this team after all.
BTW. When Baron shook Vlad on his ass….I was rollin’.

Funkalot says:
Baron is the “funkiest” PG ever on the most “funked up” squad/organization in the “L”. They are not built to win, as the people have aptly written about. The paper clips have no inside game and are forced to play on the perimeter. Their rebounding is weak and so they can not fast break effectively enough to get easy buckets. Pretty soon, Baron will start going to the face out of frustration and the whole thing will implode.

I find it impressive that he took the leadership to call a team meeting that night, not the next day, not the next week, there was no ‘lets see if it was only opening night nerves’, he called the meeting, then called them on their effort.
Good things can only come out of that. Had he pulled the superstar route and just bitched about them in the media then gone home, everyone would’ve been fine with that, it wouldn’t have helped mind you. But he didn’t, so props to B-Diddy.

way to get this started early! I would hate for Baron to get half way through the season and then get pissed… Show them what they got now.

Baron, I wish you would have stayed a Warrior, we miss the swagger you brought to our team. I hope it works out for you down there but we miss you buddy.
