Brian Scalabrine Is Out of Control
After the Celtics won the ‘chip last year, someone needed to put a muzzle on Brian Scalabrine as he “broke it down” when none of the media had any questions for him in the post-game press conference. But today’s media day disclosure might have been even more ridiculous than him saying that he could tell his kids that he won the MVP of the Finals in 30 years.
Scalabrine talks about “leaving his mark” on the White House bathrooms, and he looks like his offseason training regimen was more focused on the bathroom than the basketball court.

What do you expect? Give a guy the mic who NEVER plays and so he has no experience, is an idiot, and then interview him with the intern trying to get his name out there… It’s a receipe for disaster.
Who asks “can you describe them to me?” in reference to bathrooms?? White house or not, there’s a toilet and a sink. What the heck did he expect him to say, “Well when you flush there’s a sound clip that has President Bush singing, ‘Tell me how my ass taste.’”

Seriously, I think a lot of you people (and the Dime staff in particular) have been getting WAY too offended with what are mostly inane comments. Most of the times he is actually making fun of himself, I don’t see how anyone can think he’s cocky. It’s clearly a joke, he knows he’s a chronic backup. I really don’t get why everybody’s taking him so seriously… Lighten up, will ya?
