Pay Up, Pop

ShaqShaquille O’Neal (photo. Chenoa Maxwell)

Who knew Gregg Popovich had a sense of humor? (The fact that he currently looks like a cross between The Falconer and a bad guy off “Cold Case” could have something to do with that perception.) As soon as Spurs/Suns tipped off last night, Pop had Mike Finley go and bear hug Shaq, breaking out the Hack-a-Shaq five seconds into the season as a joke response to Shaq’s threat that San Antonio would “pay” for sending him to the line. Overall, Shaq was a harmless 5-for-8 from the stripe while posting 15 points and 13 boards, but he was nowhere near the court when it got tight in the fourth quarter and the Spurs needed to foul for real … As expected, Tony Parker gave Steve Nash savage buckets (32 pts), and Tim Duncan did what he always does to Phoenix (32 pts), but San Antonio clearly needs a third scorer to step up in Manu‘s absence. They got Phoenix’s lead down to three in the final 40 seconds, but Parker and Duncan bricked respective wide-open threes … You know the NBA season is here when Steve Francis is standing on the periphery of a team’s huddle wearing a suit. (Speaking of, Shane Battier looked like a parking valet in that red jacket/black pants combo.) Franchise and Shane watched the Rockets outlast a surprisingly competitive Grizzlies squad and hold Memphis to just 71 points. Ron Artest and T-Mac scored 16 apiece, while T-Mac made O.J. Mayo‘s pro debut a frustrating one … Watching Yao (21 pts, 10 rebs) and Marc Gasol (12 pts, 12 rebs) awkwardly bump into each other and play fake-tough all night while moving slower than characters on Bulls vs. Blazers for Sega Genesis was strangely entertaining. Gasol has a knack for getting garbage buckets, but Yao had the GTFOH Shot of the Night when Gasol was hanging off one arm so Yao threw a blind shot over his head lefty that somehow dropped … And if that game didn’t need any more ugliness, Mike Conley‘s J was/is TERRIBLE. It’s not that his form is weird, a la Shawn Marion or Amir Johnson, he just seems to have a depth perception problem. In one second-half sequence Conley air-balled a shot just inside the three-point line; he barely caught the front of the rim on a three-pointer; and then he chucked a three from the wing that went clear past the rim and hit all glass … Here’s Clyde Drexler after Hakim Warrick tried to score on Chuck Hayes and got denied: “He ain’t gonna get that on Chuck-Wagon. He doesn’t have enough sand in his pants.” … The Dime crew was all over the Knicks season opener at MSG, where NY knocked off the Heat behind 29 points from Jamal Crawford and 20 from Zach Randolph. But maybe the biggest story line was Steph and Eddy Curry clocking DNP-CD’s. You can read all about the MSG experience HERE, HERE and HERE … So much for the Pacers’ running game. They had a total of three fast-break points in their loss to Detroit, and their assist-to-turnover number was 18-to-21. T.J. Ford played the new inmate to Chauncey Billups‘s double-lifer — six seconds in, T.J. had to foul Chauncey on a drive, then the Pistons went right to Chauncey (13 pts, 7 asts) on the next play and let him muscle T.J. in the post for a short jumper. By the end of the game, when Indy was still very much in it, Jarrett Jack was taking Ford’s minutes … Danny Granger looked like an All-Star, though. He dropped 33 points, torching everyone from Tayshaun Prince to Walter Herrmann. Isn’t it pronounced “Wal-TAIR Err-MAHN” or something like that? The Pistons play-by-play guy just calls him “Walter Herman” like he’s a farmer from Iowa City … The Raptors wore their black unis for the season opener in Philly, which honestly looked a lot better on the hanger than they did on the court. We were wondering how the big-man matchups would play out, and beforehand Mo Cheeks said he’d let Sam Mitchell determine it. Mitchell had Chris Bosh start off guarding Sam Dalembert, so Mo Cheeks went along and had Elton Brand sticking Jermaine O’Neal. While Brand (14 pts, 13 rebs) was able to get buckets on J.O. in the first quarter and Dalembert (17 rebs) was killing Bosh on the boards, Philly couldn’t hang onto its early lead and lost thanks to red-hot shooting beyond the arc by the Raps and Bosh (27 pts, 11 rebs) coming alive. O’Neal finished with 17 points and eight boards … Despite the win, Toronto got MURDERED on the boards and need to address that issue if they want to be a serious contender. Philly held a 22-5 rebounding edge through the first quarter, and for the game, out-rebounded the Raptors 56-33, including 23 offensive boards versus Toronto’s 23 defensive boards … Minnesota’s new court looks real college-y, doesn’t it? Too much contrast between the wood inside the three-point line and the wood outside that area … You can thank the Lakers for killing the buzz of another trendy playoff pick right out the gate: Tuesday it was the Blazers, then last night the Clippers got clobbered, 117-79 … Do you think Leon (the actor) is pissed that Tim Thomas hasn’t had a better/more controversial NBA career so he could fulfill his destiny to play Tim in a movie? We can’t watch a Clippers game without quoting Above the Rim anytime Thomas does something … Stu Scott during the Lakers/Clips halftime show: “Kobe Bryant. Born in Italy. Lower Merion High School. BALLLLERRRRR!!” A minute later, Stu described Nuggets/Jazz game as “phat.” If Stu was a pro athlete, he’d be in the Shaun Alexander phase of his career right now … We thought Hornets/Warriors was sure to be an execution — seriously, DeMarcus Nelson starting at PG across from Chris Paul? — but give GS credit for making it a battle. In fact, the Nelson/CP matchup never really materialized, as Nellie mostly went with a lineup of basically four small forwards (S-Jack bringing the ball up, Maggette, Azubuike and Harrington) and one true big (Turiaf/Biedrins). And it worked. Golden State took the lead with 28 seconds left on a pair of Maggette free throws, but after CP (21 pts, 11 asts) got a driving layup to put N.O. on top, Jackson and Maggette botched an inbounds play, Peja hit some FT’s, and Harrington bricked a three that could’ve tied it. If Nellie continues to play just seven guys like he did last night, this team is going to wear down, but if he finds a good rotation — especially when Monta comes back — the Warriors are going to be better than a lot of people thought … We’re out like Stu …

    stop the 1st shit…

good games all over… better smack than the usual…

    we’re out like offseason boredom

  3. Reno says:

Suns-Spurs was the best game of the night. It went down the wire and i almost had a heart attack when timmy launched that triple. I was like, oh, sh*t, not again. Thank god he missed. Hell of a game.

  4. C says:

I picked Love on the poll, because he was +20 for the game..

  5. Fox says:

I know it’s early and they’ve only played the Blazers and the Clips, but outside of career underachiever Lamar Odem the Lakers look VERY serious!!

Good for Mike D. not playing Steph and Curry and getting the victory over Miami.

Jermaine O’neal 17pts and 8 boards!?!? May as well get it before he misses his 30 plus games with injury.

Speaking of injury, who will be the first Rocket to go down, T-Mac, Yao, or Psycho Ron Ron (either with injury or suspension, or maybe he’s got an album coming out he needs to promote)?

  6. Jason Thompson says:

I like how that poll doesn’t even mention me and I had the best numbers out of everyone. Double standard, I say. 18 and 10 is nothing to sneeze at, especially when your boy Kevin Love was checking me most of the night. SO put me up there, show some respect.

  7. solomon says:

    LOL

let’s see how j-thomp plays against the duncans / garnetts / david wests of the L… not some overweight white rooks

  8. solomon says:

    yo Fox,

im bettin’ its gonna be t-mac… and playing curry would’ve meant zero ball rotation – and another loss…

  9. Derik says:

OK, i know nobody cares, but New jersey Nets actually beat Washington Waizard, a last year’s playoff team, i know that doesn’t prove them as a good team, but they might be a little better than everyone predict, and people were saying bucks got a steal in theYi Jianliian/Bobby Simmons for Richard Jefferson trade, umm…Bobby Simmons does suck, but Yi, 7-11, 2-2 from downtown, put up 17pts, 6 board, and 2 blocks, that’s a pretty impressive debut, bucks got the steal?

  10. F.L.A.S.H. says:

i was half watching the lakers/clips game and half playing a sim version with my boy on nba 2k9, being a laker fan, that first quarter with davis stripping kobe twice gave me a little scare, not to mention RICKY DAVIS making a beautiful pass to a hustling/cutting TIM THOMAS! (we’re talking a bout the clippers giving the lakers a scare, ricky davis PASSING, and tim thomas HUSTLING, until we all came back to earth when i flipped back to my cable and it was a 40 piece mcnugget)

P.S. :how about hubie brown basically calling out lamar odom as a natural softy(which i can’t deny) who’s played like that his whole career, and will actually be comfortable in this bench role

  11. that's whats up says:

what about Greg Oden being out 2-4 weeks with a strained pussy

  12. alf (from melmak) says:

on another game, the jazz were so sloppy. defense was not present most of the time in their opener against denver.

having beaten the nuggets by just four with denver playing without melo places serious doubts on their title aspirations.

i know d-will was not there, but heck, they have a deeper bench and run an efficient system.

by the way, i absolutely loved what pop did to shaq. :)

  13. solomon says:

    lol @ post 11

yeah, that’s as weird as shit… a hustling tim thomas? was he wearing a villanova jersey?

  14. deeds says:

Raptors looked good last night. Yeah they got killed in rebounds. But SO many of those were sammy D missing his own shots, or big bounces. Toronto’s interior D looked as good as I have EVER seen it. Jermo was altering shots inside all game long…he really surprised me (he even crammed home an and 1 on Dalembert)

  18. Hi, Jurg from Denmark says:

Yes yes hi to you today from Jurg Jurg. So good that we can talk about some proper nba basketball and not some games that do not even count.

You might wonder that my fantasy basketball team is not doing good. Poor starting games from my players and no points for Ramon Sessions who fantasy doctor tell me he do very well this season. I still trust doctor though.

Last want to say a big hi hi to Christian and Romeo who have some bad luck for doing some naughty thing and now living at Horsens Correctional in Denmark. I tell these guys about excellent basketball website here. They will read. Hi Christian and Romeo. See you in a long time guys.

    Bye from Jurg.

  19. John says:

First I was mad because Miami lost to the Knicks, than I realiza that we start Chalmers (the kid played very well) and Beasley with Haslem at center, Cook and Livinsgtone coming of the bench and Spolaestra as head coach … Give Mike D´antoni credit, the guy knows how to build an offensive sistem ,,,, The Lakers looks really good …

  20. John says:

Mario Chalmers numbers last night in his Pro Debut :
    17 ptos – 8 assist – 7 reb – 1 TO – 7/13 fg – 2/4 3 pt.
Very good considering that he was a second round draft pick playing in the MSG, in the starting lineup.

  21. Smitty313 says:

If the Lakers keep destroying teams like this, Kobe’s scoring is going to dip.

  22. fallinup says:

Hey, I’ll be first to say it. Props to NY for the big win. Crawford is gonna be killing it in Mike’s system all season.

Best part of the night was catching Phil Jackson during the LA game. The Lakers were already ahead by double digits and Tim Thomas had just clanked another free throw. Says Phil:

“Our free throw defense today is exceptional.”

  23. webbie352 says:

GS might be better without b diddy.

& if the clips wanna win they gotta let baron play more than 28 minutes.

  24. Mikey says:

How come there is no Mario Chalmers option on the poll? Check the numbers on that dude, he had a solid game yesterday. 17 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and only 1 turnover. So much for Miami having PG difficulties.

I watched part of the 76ers/Raptors yesterday. I kept getting the teams confused because the Raps new black jerseys looks just like the 76ers’ black jersey (and I don’t have high def).

  25. rangerjohn says:

spurs suns was absolutely the best game of the night, with a little more time (and a little less shooting from udoka) the spurs will find a filler for manu (or as close to a fill in as can be had) they will be fine, and manu is running ahead of schedule.

  26. Chris says:

Love for the Hawks? They beat last year’s divison winner, Orlando, in Orlando without Marvin Williams (serving his one game supension for the flagrant foul on Rajon Rondo). Not a bad start predicted by Hollienger and just about every sports writer to finish out of the playoffs. I know its the first game but still.

  27. fallinup says:

Hopefully Oberto’s irregular heartbeat isn’t that major of a factor. But damn, I cringed seeing Bonner in there during the latter stages of the fourth. He played more minutes than the bones of Kurt Thomas. Injuries could down the Spurs if they don’t make any moves. Seeing Parker, and then Duncan taking threes late in the game shows how badly Manu is needed back. But most importantly, they need an athletic big man in SA.

  28. GEE....Just sing it right now! says:

    Houston Up!

Stat was a pure beast in the 4th. The shot he hit almost going out of bounds (getting fouled) and still having enough room to toss it in there. Bananas!

Baron was a highlight reel first quarter. Rippin Kobe, behind the head/back passes and just really bringin it. To bad dude was the only one. I would love to see him and KG together intensity wise. Baron had some And 1 ish going though.

Still the last thing you want to do is motivate Kobe, cause Kobe was droppin shots real calm on em’ like whatever this is to easy.

Woody off of Around the Horn had me crackin up when said something like the Rockets are going to look really this first game, now they might be injured after that, but they will look good at first.

Glad he was wrong lol bring on game 2. When I saw the NY score I was trippin. Happy for them as a team, but I was shocked they won. Knick fans might have some swagger back this year.

How did Yi score what, 17 last night?

All those people who thought Greg Oden was the answer, need to sit down! GO is a no go. Don’t think I seen someone more fragil. He is The Big Fragil from now on.
Not only that, where is his offense fa real? I mean I heard him and other people say it looks forced, but it’s like dude is trying to force a square object through a circle hole. Not impressed.

Pop looks like somebody who will scare kids for real. All he needs is some tear drops and the look is complete. He can switch anywhere from a homeless bum to a serial rapist killer. Again scary.

  29. GEE....Just sing it right now! says:

Sorry that should be “The Big Fragile”

    Down in Fraggle Rock!

  30. Ansonious says:

How bout them suns? That shit was awesome, I didn’t like how Timmy was just dropping so many jumpers on the suns we should start calling him Timmy Buckets, but I do like the fact when it came down to it at the end of the 4th they were afraid to take it inside and settled for wide open 3s(which didn’t work out this time.) @ Austin Burton Better luck next time go SUNS!!!!

  31. GEE....Just sing it right now! says:

NYC may be the mecca for ballin but,

    W.T.F.???

Some of the advertisments on this site crack me up!

  32. Smitty313 says:

Why are none of the Knick fans talking about the rise of Wilson Chandler. He looks like a future star or just a star in Mike D Antoni system.

  33. Kermit the Washington says:

  37. one66soul says:

No mention of the Hawks winning on the road with a huge game from Josh Smith, check the stats.

  38. control says:

    Toronto Unis looked pretty tight.

Anyone know if there is an HD NBA league pass? I really hate watching the SD feeds on my tv, makes it look like shit.

  39. rangerjohn says:

    fallinup

i agree, oberto would have been nice last night.

i dont think they are in need of an athletic big as much as you think, mahinmi looked pretty good at camp, and last season in the Dleague, if he has improved even a little bit over last year, he will be much help.

i am not expecting anything “special” out of the spurs this year, but they still have about 3-4 yrs left and depending on who they spend their money on after next season, that window might just get wider.

the nice thing about last night for me (a bonafied suns hater) the comentators kept talking about how good the suns defense was looking, but in the end, the spurs shot 50%, parker and duncan went for 32 each, the spurs had 3 less T/O, and 1 less rebound. oh and nash was flopping left and right (thomas got away with one also) so i guess that “no flopping rule” is just a myth presented by the league.

now the bad part, the suns shot 49%, and got more freethrows (hack a shaq i guess)and that was the difference imo, they got more and shot a better %. and duncan got blocked 3 times, and that sux!

    come on manu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. rangerjohn says:

    control,
dish network has been advertising HD leaguepass for a month now.

  41. control says:

For some reason I haven’t seen any dish commercials on TV. I will have to check that out, my piece of shit comcast only shows the games in 480p…which looks horrible on 1080p TV.

  42. PWeezy says:

“moving slower than characters on Bulls vs. Blazers for Sega Genesis was strangely entertaining”

That is AWESOME I played that game like crazy

    out like the WEezy

  43. rangerjohn says:

i had “time warner” before it became comcast here in houston, it SUCKED i love dish, we have like 200 HD channels better programing, and it doesnt go out like comcast would have you believe satelite does. hell we hooked up a generator to the tv/surround sound/dish during hurricane ike when the power went out, and watched the weather channel most of the night. we lost signal about 1 hour maybe 2 all the time, with 80+ mph winds at my house. we just poped in a movie and waited till the signal came back on.

dish or direct either one are MUCH better for hd then cable

  44. yallallreadyknow says:

steve francis is still in the nba?
    on what team?

…shouldnt this guy be on the wizards or warriors to revive his career?

  45. Gay4Rudy says:

Saying that Stu Scott is in the Shaun Alexander phase of his career is a decent analogy. However, that alludes to the fact that a couple of years ago Stu was the best in the game. This information is inaccurate. He’s been the same lazy / multi-color eyed doofus that screams sh*t like a spaz for 15/20 years (just like Berman).

  46. dapro says:

    @Control

I hate watching a 1080p tv in 480p, I need that HD package too bruh

    @Gee and GO doubters

Give the rook a pass, he’s like the special ed kid that has to wear a helmet and knee pads just to walk to the store (he’s a walking accident waiting to happen)

    @Dime
Lakers look good but lets see how they look against Suns, SA, Rockets, Celts, Pistons

Kobe will have to carry the load against those teams

  50. tim says:

Did you guys know this is the Palace of Auburn Hills 20th anniversary year? Crazy that is better than some newer arenas of today…

  51. control says:

    ranger

My mother in law had Dish for all of 3 weeks before she canceled and went back to Comcast. It looked pretty decent, but it was going out whenever the weather was even a touch rainy. It is probably because the satellites are located more down south than north, so in Detroit the angle to point to them goes through quite a bit more cloud cover than Texas.

    tim

The Palace rocks, but some of the seats are horribly small. Even one or two rows up from the floor and I’m having leg cram/room issues.

  52. GEE....Just sing it right now! says:

dapro he is going to mess around with all that awkwardness and injure one of his own teammates. LOL. Like a bullet or Dikembe elbow, they will hit anyone. I fear his awkwardness will do the same thing eventually.

Philly had a champ a long time ago in Bernard Hopkins right?

Personally Stu Scott does over-do it often but I still rather him and the other commentators than most others. They at least try to keep it live.

  53. P_Dizzle says:

Apparently the Lakers have clinched the Western Conference and the NO Hornets have clinched the SW Division. Hmmmm….. wonder if it’s rigged?????

  54. that's whats up says:

  55. Spliff 2 My Lou says:

When I first turned on the Phoenix/San Antonio game I thought I was having a flashback. I didn’t hear about the Suns signing Antoine Carr. But then I realized it was just Amare.

  56. fallinup says:

LOL. The Palace is the worst arena I’ve been to. It’s parking lot is like a mix between a walmart parking lot and an airplane landing strip . The arena is nothing spectacular and just as dirty as a 20 year old arena in the Detroit area would be. Chicago is a better arena than Detroit and Chicago isn’t all that great either. And don’t even get me started on Detroit itself.

Arena wise, the best arena I’ve been to was Conseco Fieldhouse (Indianapolis). It’s newer, cleaner, and after all the games I’ve been to, we were out and on the freeway in no more than 20 minutes.

  57. LAballer says:

is it me or does pop sort of look like donald sutherland with that beard?? anyone else impressed with pheonix scrambling on d instead of standing and watching like they did most of last season? why is odom not even a part of most of the plays for the SECOND unit? he didn’t touch the ball 75% of the time he was on the court and he is supposed to be their main go to guy..im even more pissed about this since he’s on my fantasy squad..damnitt..is varejeo the lopez twins long lost brother or is that just me?? holllllllla

  58. Drink the Haterade (KB24 Chip 09) says:

Yeah yesterday Dime posted the LAC vs LAL game as a Battke of LA… Like I said that was never a battle… All 12 players scored at least 4 points, what can I say it’s good to be the Lakers… And quote of the night goes to PJAX

” Our Free Throw Defense is Exceptional Tonight”

  59. LakeShow84 says:

    @ Dapro

Just cuz suns beat the undermanned spurs dont make them nothing.. Thats a rivalry game too so anything can happen.. I cant wait to jackhammer that team.. suns got one coming..

We made it to the finals so there aint nothing left 2 see but what seeding we get and if its conference finals or finals… Everyone knows we RAW boy..

And i cant believe the phillies win the world series and the 76ers get whooped by toronto.. Damn wheres the motivation sixers?! if cheeks doesnt do much with this team his ass is canned at the end of the year..

We comin for that number 1 spot!

  60. QQ says:

I agree that all Oden did was to be injured and be softer than Shawn Marion’s feelings, but come fucking on, we’re only ONE GAME into the season. Wait until February before making a verdict. Reminds me of nobodies (in the NBA, at least) like Sebastian Telfair and Gerald Green making a couple of good plays in their debuts. then suddenly people are proclaiming they’re the nicest cats in the pro game. See what happened? It’s a LOOOOOOOONG season folks.

  61. fallinup says:

    @ Lakeshow84

With all the “we’s” you better be getting a paycheck. I wonder is it was “we” when Boston was hoisting the trophy. haha

  63. Ian says:

damn timmeh was hitting everything from everywhere
but he spoiled me last season i thought that 3 he took was going in

  64. LAballer says:

is everyone here sayin manu’s bald spot is supposed to somehow save the spurs and their bench from 1937? dont give me the they have been doing it for years with those three crap..thats the problem..its been years..they are OLD..their bench is McCain old..not happenin this time..5-6 seed at best..

  65. jl90 says:

yo the spurs arent going anywhere unless manu comes back at full force. there were times last night where the suns could have had all five guys playing timmy or tony and the spurs still wouldnt have scored. their offense is too predictable (yet still hard to stop)
oh and apparently either jeff van gundy or mark jackson thinks matt bonner’s shooting is key to the spurs success….

  66. fallinup says:

5-6 seed is fine with me. The Spurs have won championships with 5-6 seeds.

Manu isn’t supposed to save the Spurs, but at least he will be the one to save Parker and Duncan from jacking 3′s in crunch time.

  67. parinaz suns says:

the suns looked good last night i was terrified they would loose by 19 being as they usually loose on opening night and it was on the road and it was the spurs.

wtf is matt barnes doing taking so many fga’s in the first quarter he acted like he was the best player on the court even though he was sharing it with two mvps and amare. I was standing for the last few minutes and almost passed out when duncan took that 3 thank God it didn’t go in

    GO SUNS

  68. dapro says:

    @lakeshow

You know the top teams in the league won’t go out like the Clippers and Blazers against the Lakers

the Lakers look solid but before we hand out trophy, let’s play out the rest of the season

  69. LAballer says:

no they need someone to save them badly..matt bonner? are you serious right now? thats your version of robert horry who was done 2 years ago anyway? kurt thomas the defensive stopper? dude they might as well have shawn kemp..they won the chip with their 5-6 seed when they had their legs and a much more superior bench..they havent got anything going for them..even pop has given up and stopped shaving..is he homeless?

  70. Amar says:

in other news, boozer had 25 and 14, memo had a double double, and AK nearly got what he used to avg as an all-star (but this time off the bench and in less mpg). ak was 2 boards and a block shy. not that dime cares until they play CP3′s team and beat them every time they match up.

i gotta go back and snatch the change I gave Pop back…rich ass mofucker asking me for change on the way to class…just not right…Amare did look real autin Carr-ich last night. He should break out a handlebar mustache to rock that look right.

Rangerjohn–where’s your McCain flag at now? Chilling with Sarah Palin, on the roof of her house, staring at Russia? I loved watching the Spurs lose last night, but yeah, Timmeh and Toneh took it to the Suns…I’m out like ducking a bullet or a Dikembe elbow….

utah..thats a real decent squad..i think they have the best matchup against the lakers to be real..but lets squash the pg situation right now..like bill simmons said..deron is going to go down as one of the best pg’s ever..cp3 will go down as one of the best players ever..thats the truth..

    my thoughts…

Wilson Chandler will be a stud this yeaR

derrick rose will win ROY as long as Chi makes the playoffs

    lakers are damn near unbeatable

the rockets have a nice bench

the knicks will give up 110pts a game

kobe grabs another mvp in his least statistically impressive season and winds up top10 in assists

eddy curry wins most imporved player award (in the d-league). Follows that up by beatng kobayashi in the annual hot dog eating contest by 6 franks

DAmn, ya’ll harsh on pop. I saw him smiling with the thumbs up and thought that I finally got the NBA look right.

I’m out like shaving and saving hack-a-shaq for the end game.

    control,
back on teh dish, what i have been told by about 3-4 installers is the dish will go out because of a poor install, if it is installed correctly and securely it will not go out except in severe situations.

if it moves even a little bit it can lose signal.

  77. Uncanney says:

Stu Scott during the Lakers/Clips halftime show: “Kobe Bryant. Born in Italy. Lower Merion High School. BALLLLERRRRR!!” A minute later, Stu described Nuggets/Jazz game as “phat.” If Stu was a pro athlete, he’d be in the Shaun Alexander phase of his career right now

I just sent that quote to like 10 people…. classic haha
