Gasol brothers dub “High School Musical”
Hollywood GasolWho knew that when Pau Gasol got traded to the Lakers last season that Hollywood would call on the 7-footer, not for his acting skills but for his voice.
Word out of Europe is that Pau and his younger brother Marc Gasol, have dubbed parts of Disney’s latest High School Musical movie into Spanish. Although the two don’t break into song, they lent their voices to a scene where the fictional East High Wildcats basketball team play a key match.
“It was difficult. You have to get used to it, get into the role. It was not easy,” Marc, who joined Memphis in July, told Spanish media.
After reading this it got me thinking. Do other NBA players dub movies in their home country? Do you think Dirk Nowitzki dubbed for David Hasselhoff on Baywatch? What about Yao Ming, Tony Parker or Andrei Kirilenko lending their voice for other films or shows back home?
If you could cast an international NBA player to dub any film or show, who would you choose?

But I would think it funny to hear Andrew Bogut give a character an aussie accent.

Gasol Bros should completely dedicate to dubbing or pool cleaning. Any activity that keeps em from playing that soft style could help.
