GEE...You to old for that! says:
It’s always someone that can be caught at anytime. Perfect example.

fallinup says:
Can we all now come to the fact that Kimbo doesn’t belong in MMA. This guy that beat him was a UFC castaway. He gave up length and size and still knocked out the great Kimbo.

isotope says:
wasnt fixed. Even i know that if someone is throwing punches to my face that i need to put my hands up.
He wasnt knocked out but he was getting hit in the head and the ref had no choice. All he had to do was put his hands up and he would have been good.
shame.

RIP kimbo, your 15 minutes are up.

Jim says:
…shi guys, you and Gus both, he isn’t Tyson and he sure as hell isn’t Apollo Creed. The only talent on display on this card was Gus.
October 6th, 2008 at 11:25 am
that's whats up says:
I didn’t see shit.
What did the pink haired guy hit him with?
…and why did they stop it so quick?
October 6th, 2008 at 11:43 am
Jim says:
lol, they stopped it so he didn’t get killed. He was already out before he was on his back. If refs weren’t proactive (and this one might have been a little slow, even) fighters would get seriously hurt all the time.

steele says:
this sport is ridiculous. it’s absurdly violent, and whoever happens to (chance) fall on the ground first is at such an enormous disadvantage. when did you guys become hicks??
October 6th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
Kudabeen says:
There wasn’t a clean punch in the bunch. It looked sloppy and wack. MMA will never touch good boxing. That Mosley Mayorga fight was better than any MMA fight I’ve seen to date.
I don’t think it was fixed, because that is money out of their pockets. I’m like Kimbo didn’t seem hurt and it wasn’t a clean punch. Looked like two big ass little kids in a playground fight. Just wack…
and what’s with shaving half your chest?!?! Wack…
October 6th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
isotope says:
dude wasnt blocking. That was his problem. MMA fighters regularly know the deal. If you fall, cover your face.
October 6th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
nick says:
looked like kimbo missed on his punch and fell and other dude just strated pounding on his face so the ref had to call it. if he had covered his face might have had a chance for a better fight.
October 6th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
BKS says:
Ultimate fighting is stupid. Either one guy lands a lucky punch 10 seconds into the fight because all those clowns don’t know how to box properly, or they roll around half naked on the ground for a few minutes while the handyman from Newsradio throws out odd terms in an attempt to make it actually seem like a sport.
October 6th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Big V says:
No way this was a fix. There’s absolutely nothing to be gained by Petruzelli winning this fight.
Kimbo is kinda trash anyway, not surprising.
October 6th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
QQ says:
To all haters of MMA…. Uhhh..
Don’t watch it?
Duh.
October 6th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
fallinup says:
Haters of MMA seriously have a screw loose. It’s 100X better than boxing. More technical, and the fighters don’t end up as vegetables at the end of their careers.
October 6th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
Austin Burton says:
@fallinup — In boxing’s defense, it’s been around for hundreds of years and has had more time/opportunity for problems to corrupt the product. Give MMA some time in the spotlight and you’ll start to see more of the vegetables and other dark sides of the business.
October 6th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
Big V says:
Why do people feel the need to promote either MMA or boxing at the expense of the other? I’m perfectly fine being a fan of both.
October 6th, 2008 at 10:42 pm
Dagomar says:
Only an upset if you know nothing about Kimbo Slice.
October 7th, 2008 at 8:17 am
Nate says:
Ummmm… are all you guys FUCKING BLIND! Not one of those ‘pounds to the face’ hit shit but air. Seriously watch it again it’s WWF, what a joke. People watch this crap?
October 7th, 2008 at 11:33 am
Austin Burton says:
@Nate — I’m not an MMA expert, but I highly doubt they would build up Kimbo Slice so much just to have him lose in his 4th fight.
October 8th, 2008 at 3:16 am
chronically_ill says:
Dude, saying Kimbo had his Buster Douglas moment would be an insult to Tyson (not to mention Douglas). Everyone knows Iron Mike was the baddest motherf*cker on the planet at that point in his career. All Kimbo has done up to this point is beat up a bunch of random dudes in some backyard. Of course Kimbo was gonna get his ass handed to him by a professional fighter! Even I saw that coming, and I’m not even a big MMA fan!
October 8th, 2008 at 3:20 am
chronically_ill says:
I’m not saying one’s better than the other, but boxing is alot more fun to watch imo. Watching half naked dudes roll around groping each other on the ground isnt really my idea of fun.
And MMA just seems like a sport where slow, unathletic white dudes excel in. I wanna see one of those MMA dudes try to catch Floyd Mayweather or Roy Jones! But then, you dont really know how a boxer would react if an MMA guy got the boxer on the ground.
