Is Tony Allen For Real?

Is this the real Tony Allen? He’s been an animal in two of the Celtics’ five games, lighting up the Cavs for 25 and then giving the Nets an ice cold 32 points. Boston fans have to be delighted that Allen, who is healthy for the first time in his career, could help to make up for the loss of James Posey. Can Allen’s preseason success translate to the real 82?

I would have loved to have seen Tony Allen switch clubs this offseason and get a chance to start and play major minutes. He has a lot of ability … it’s just a matter of him getting it out. Too early to tell at what level (huge variance on what player actually shows up) he’ll perform at for Boston, but he’s off to an encouraging start.

Wasn’t this same question asked the last two seasons regarding Tony Allen? Forget the speculation, Tony needs to bring consistently to the whole 82 game season.
