Larry Brown Gets Cracked in Bobcats Opener

Larry Brown

Now this is a shame. Larry Brown got blasted by the Cavs in his first regular season as head coach of the Bobcats, 96-79. After the game he refrained from destroying any of his players directly, just saying, “I’m not trying to make excuses, but I don’t think we’re quite ready right now.”

How are they not ready? They’re a young squad, but the vast majority of their players have been in the League for a minute now. Gerald Wallace, Emeka Okafor, Jason Richardson, Ray Felton – these guys are all vets and they’re all players. Isn’t it Brown’s job to have them ready? Isn’t he the Hall of Fame talent that everyone fawns over? He’s right, there’s no excuse.

That is pretty kind of him to not throw his team under the bus after just their first game.

His only excuse is he’s suffering a bout of “McCain Syndrome”.

  2. kowtz says:

Larry Brown and the Bobcats has no excuse because Allen Iverson is playing in another team…

  3. ninja cool says:

New York wins, Bobcats lose. What could be different? hmmm…

  4. Jayo says:

They NEED some real vets!!! Trade in Jason Terry, Stackhouse and Dampier from the Mavs. Charlotte could give up J-Rich, Morrison, Matt “Christmas” Carroll, Sean May and a draft pick or two…

Trade should work for both teams! Bobcats gets some balls and the Mavs would be more dynamic with J-Rich!

  5. Jayo says:

And the Mavs would be building for the near future.

I worry about Larry’s effect on this team. Lot of early negative signs …. but they’re only early so let’s see.

Funny how dime tries to attack Larry Brown every chance possible. Whether you acknowledge it or not, the guy is a good coach.

  10. Desrat says:

A good boss always has his underlings back, I think that every time LB stepsa into the captians chair his players worry that it is only for selfish reasons. That thought pattern is contagious, and the kids pick it up then you have the New York Knicks.
