Exactly.

You guys have to remember that you are talking about the dreams of a very young man. It is okay for him to dream big, because in order for him to obtain that goal he will have to put in the work. He is attacking his goal head on. The thing about success, it doesn’t come easy. But when you are young in life you don’t understand those obstacles, so you think that everything will come pretty easy because it has so far. That’s why rookies hit the “wall” halfway through the season. The successful players learn to prepare themselves throughout the year to be able to sustain a whole season. It’s called experience. And he has only his experience to go on right now. His interviews will sound a lot different in January. Nothing wrong with him having lofty expectations.

I have no problem with any player wanting to be the best in the game. Also, you pretty much have to be on a winning team to be MVP. He didn’t guarantee that he was going to win the MVP, he just set a goal to be the best. I don’t see what’s wrong with that.

Beasley didn’t say he was better than Wade or anyone else. He said he can be. That just means the young man is willing to put in the work to be the best. If everyone had the mindset of “I’m no good. I can’t be better than these guys.”, we wouldn’t have a league worth watching. It’s kinda like the rap game. Everyone can’t be the best, but if they didn’t think they were the best, there’d be no point in rapping.
