Rondo is a rising PG in the NBA. He should finish his rookie contract and the extension he just agreed to. After next season, make the decision on whether or not he deserves to be paid like a top PG. But he's not there yet.

Hell, if I was playing with the Big 3 even I couldn't screw that up. All I have to do is bring the ball to half court and pass it.

Just because he was the PG of the World Champs doesn't mean a thing about how good he is.

Like I say, I bet over half of us here in the comment section can do the job that Rondo did.

Yes, he grabbed some rebounds but hell 90% of the NBA don't box out and so if you just wanted to get a rebound you could get one. Just box someone out and you'll get more NBA players trying to start fights with you and get all the NBA analyst saying you are a hustler. All that just for boxing someone out. Hell I can do that.

But just to make sure we are talking about the same guy, we are talking about that guy for the Celtics that has a career 3-pt % of 23%, that averages 2.5 ast for every turnover, and that shoots 63% from the ft line as a PG? That guy?

I agree with everyone here. What ridiculousness is this? Rondo does not start on most other teams in the league. 5 championships? nah homie...be easy.

Rondo does fit in nicely with the big 3. But Rondo over Baron, Chauncey, or Tony Parker?? You're crazy!

AP took the Chris Sheridan approach @ ESPN: Spew something that will rile up the readers and that will draw traffic. Any publicity is good publicity. Good job AP.

GOT DAYUUMMM!! MUST BE TWO SIDES. LOL

Yall going hard at this author. His assertion maybe a lil flaky, but FIRED...Yall out cold for that. Yall done chased dude up out of his own forum. R.I.P. Aaron Phillips.

I gotta say there are about 15 gaurds in the league RITE NOW that are better than Rondo and could've done the same thing if not more for the celtics. Put the Bong down AP Puhlease.

By The Way, this article.......

No, it's the author's delusion of grandeur we are supposed to keep in mind. I'm pretty sure Ainge would have extended his contract now if he thought he was the 4th best PG in the league.

Y'all folks don't read too good do ya?

Try Again

"If I could choose one PG in the League not named Nash, Paul or Williams, I would choose Rajon Rondo. The architect for the newly-minted NBA Champion Celtics, Rondo has the handles and the IQ of a champ. He’s a speed merchant. He’s a future All-Star.

****READ THIS PART ****

With this delusion of grandeur in mind, << THAT LINE RIGHT THERE
GM Danny Ainge said that he’ll exercise his $2.09 million team option for the 2009-10 season, meaning Rondo will have to wait another year to buy that second home."

I read that as being the thoughts of Danny Ainge NOT the writer.

Calm the fuck down
