Rockets and Red Faces Hope to set World Record Tonight
T-Mac is ready to goWhile many of the Dime office are at Madison Square Garden, I’m at home, in sweatpants, flipping through League Pass. Although the “Mecca of basketball” would be a nice venue to catch opening night, I really wish I was in Houston.
For the Rockets home opener tonight against the Grizzlies, officials from the Guinness Book of World Records will be on hand as Rockets fans try and set a new world mark for “Most Painted Faces at an Event.”
The City of Houston deemed today “Get Red Day” and the whole city was encouraged to wear Rockets apparel from head to toe, dye their hair and paint their face red. If you don’t have face paint at home, don’t worry – the Rockets will be painting faces as you go into the arena in their attempt to set the record.
What crazy stuff is your hometown team doing on opening night?
