Sasha Vujacic Does An Awful Job Trying To Impress Kobe
What would you do to impress Kobe?Growing up playing basketball, we all had players that we looked up to. Whether it was your pops, your basketball coach or Michael Jordan, whenever you got the chance, you tried to impress them.
Yesterday, while everyone in Los Angeles was worried about Kobe Bryant and his hyperextended right knee, Sasha Vujacic was worried about dazzling his childhood hero, who just happens to be his teammate. Kind of like any rookie who played with MJ, it must be weird passing to the guy you used to play phantom one-on-one with in your driveway.
When the Lakers practice was over, Vujacic grabbed a loose ball and threw up a 50-foot hook shot on his way out showing off to his idol. After the initial shot missed, Kobe let’s the young grasshopper know that it wasn’t even close, thus challenging Vujacic to make the shot.
From there, it gets hilarious as the MVP just kills him with each failed attempt. Some of the classic lines include:
“C’mon, man. I’ve got to explain to Natalia and Gianna why I’m late coming home,” says Bryant, referring to his daughters.
“This is like watching ‘Titanic,’ ” Bryant says. “The uncut version!”
To his credit, Vujacic then stands there with his arms extended a la Leonardo DiCaprio, yelling, “I’m the king of the world!” before letting fly the next attempt. That misses, too.
Showing impressive recall on the name of DiCaprio’s character in the movie, Jack Dawson, Bryant says: “C’mon, Jack!”
After 35 tries, Vujacic finally gets it to drop as he strides past No. 24 through the door. You can check out the video HERE.

Laker haters are comedy. If this was Detroit or Portland, there’d be an article talkin bout how tight they are and how good the chemistry is, but it’s the Lakers so the article gotta try to spin it ugly.
