The Keith Van Horn Era Is Over
KVH appeared on the cover of NBA Jam 99After being drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the second pick in the 1997 NBA Draft, it appears the Keith Van Horn era is finally over.
Van Horn got the hook along with Eddie Gill, Julius Hodge and Brian Hamilton as the Nets cut their roster down to 15 players today. The only reason Van Horn had been on New Jersey’s roster was because Dallas had to sign him in February and include him in the deal that brought them Jason Kidd.
With career averages of 16.0 points and 6.8 rebounds, KVH’s best season as a pro came in his second year in the League when he put up a career high 21.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
Now that his career appears to be over, what will Van Horn’s legacy be? (Check below for a retrospective.)

Kieth Van Horn will not be waiting tables. He made over 88 million in his career. He was not that garbage either, he just never lived up to the hype surrounding him after college. But he was a decent pro.
