(Almost) Daily Fantasy

Caron ButlerAnother great night from Caron.

The Holy Caron does it again. Caron Butler takes home another night’s fantasy MVP award with 35 points (on 13-19 from the field), 3 threes, 8 boards, 6 dimes, and 3 steals. Don’t sleep on the wire during the turkey break. Someone in your league will, so get the edge.

Andray Blatche – We know Blatche has this type of potential. We also know that he and Eddie Jordan did not meet eye to eye. First game under the new coach? Blatche goes bananas. He’s worth a pick up but honestly, we also know that Blatche is immature and we really don’t know which kid is going to show up.

Al Harrington – The Knicks got blown out last night but we saw a sign of the times from Al Harrington – Al is going to shoot, and shoot often. We were at the game and he literally took every shot he saw… Including one that hit the side of the glass. He is going to have a ton of value the rest of this season.

Tim Thomas – Mike D LOVES Tim Thomas from his Suns days and it seems that Thomas will get every opportunity to have a big role on the Knicks. Thomas had 16 in his debut. He’s an intriguing pick up.

Nate Robinson – Nate Rob when down in a heap and luckily it is not a knee injury. Evidently it is a bad groin strain. Nate looks like he’ll miss a little time. Cat Mobley and Peep Roberson will fill the void.

Jamal Crawford - Yes, Crawford only scored 9 points in his debut as the Warriors point guard, but he added 7 dimes and he should be the least of owners fantasy concerns.

Anthony Morrow – The fantasy value is just about over for now. He started and had 6 and 6, but his minutes and production won’t be there and certinly will be further hurt when Monta returns. We haven’t heard the last of Morrow though.

Brook Lopez – Lopez should be the starter and play big minutes. He had another double/double last night and it has really been clear since early on in the preseason that Lopez was legit. He has a chance to be a good second center the rest of the season (or until he hits the rookie wall).

The Thunder – The new look Thunder (new coach=new lineups) played a great game against the Suns and a whole lot of players outside of Durant (who also did his thing with 29) showed value potential. Earl Watson had 13 dimes, Westbrook had 15, 5, and 5, Jeff Green played power forward and had 13 and 6. Even Chris Wilcox had 18 points. In other words, we don’t know much about the new Thunder yet. They played their best game of the season and

Shaq – That’s just annoying. Shaq is having a great season but the Suns once again decided to rest the big fella. It almost cost them too. They barely beat the Thunder. Owners need the Suns to have a wake up call that sitting Shaq doesn’t help anyone.

Steve Nash – Forget the 8 turnovers, we’ve been waiting for the 15 assist night. Nash also had 20 points. Nash owners may wish that Shaq sit more often so the Suns can get out and run a bit more.

Jameer Nelson – Ugh. Nelson has a hip flexor injury and will be out 7 to 10 days. He’ll be replaced by Anthony Johnson, who could be a decent short term pick up next week if you’re desperate for a guard.

Andrew Bogut – When 7 footers bang knees, it hurts… for 7 to 10 days. Bogut owners will have to utilize their third center for the next week or two.

    J.Johnson
    A.Thornton
    C.Boozer
    N.Hilario
    C.Billups
    D.Rose
    M.Ginobili
    Z.Randolph
    L.Mbah a Moute
    J.Thompson

Should I do it or do I keep my roster as it is?

    Thanks

    Singharaj,

Why cant you package 2 good players and trade them for 1 really good player then pickup McGee if u chose to? I wouldnt drop anyone, I would just trade them to whichever team I could for a really good player and then pick up the slack in free agency

  9. baron von faulk says:

Need to know whether to play Ginobili, Deron, or Crawford tonight?

I am thinking Ginobili b/c he kills the Bulls and they are weak at SG (even if he’ll only get 20 mins).

Deron is not a sure bet to even get out there and may not play a lot of minutes even if he does.

Crawford and the new look Warriors are going into Boston, need I say more.

  10. toWhomitmayConcern says:

    doc,
    where u at?

  11. nick says:

looks like doc took off early for thanksgiving.

  12. chinito says:

    Hi Doc,

I”ve been offered a returning Deron and Horford for my Bosh and Rudy F. Should I sell high on Bosh or keep em?

My remaining bigs would go Al Jefferson, Zach, Tyson Chandler and Blatche, my guards are headlined by Joe Johnson, Andre Miller and Derrick Rose.

    Thanks.
