(Almost) Daily Fantasy

Ray AllenRay Allen, Dime #11

Deron Williams –
If you took the risk of having Deron Williams in your lineup this week, it doesn’t look good. Williams is listed as doubtful tonight and from a Jazz perspective, there is zero reason to rush him back.

Shaq – Those worries about Shaq sitting a game this week because of the back to back are probably no longer a concern. Shaq played only 23 minutes last night but still managed a nice line of 18 points, 6 boards, 2 blocks and a steal (not to mention 4-5 from the line and ummm… 5 turnovers).

Jason Terry – It is becoming increasingly clear that Terry is the best option at the off guard spot. In 4 games, three of them have been very productive, none more than last night when Terry had 29 points and 6 assists. With Stackhouse, Gerald Green and Antoine Wright as the only options at shooting guard, Terry right now looks like a nice turn back the clock fantasy performer.

Raja Bell - The Raja Bell saga is going to be ongoing this season. Last night was a nice chapter as Bell went 6 for 6 from downtown. He’s a pretty safe bet in roto, and not as safe in head to head. He’s very close to a one category player though.

Ray Allen - Some of you have been asking if Ray is cutable. Even with a lost step, Ray is going to have many many more nights like last night and is still a good bet for around 200 threes. You don’t cut Ray Allen!

Ramon Sessions – So, my man Jurg (consistent commenter on the site) tried to blame me, the Doc, for drafting and then dropping Sessions. Here’s the deal – Sessions was everyone’s sleeper, played essentially third string pg in the preseason and then two straight DNP’s. As soon as Rid missed a game we said to watch Sessions. In fact, we told people never to take their eye off the kid. It still isn’t a sure thing that Sessions will have real value right now, but don’t blame the Doc.

Kendrick Perkins –
Nice game by Perkins (15, 7, and 4 blocks) but still no better than a 4th or 3rd center at best.

Barack Obama – I’d say his value is pretty high right now. I thought I’d just throw that in.

    Doc,
Who should I start Tyson chandler over?
Posey, Gibson, haslem, moon, nate robinson or kevin martin

  2. maddskizzle says:

which one of these disappointments do you start tonight? stuckey or foye?

  3. boom707 says:

Also is horford worth putting in for one of those guys? I think i need rebounds

  4. 2 Easy says:

ahahahahah I love the addition of Obama, it would be an easy win in any head to head league. Doc you and I were on the same page when it came to Sessions. The only problem is my usual starting PG (Deron Williams) hasnt played a game and im gettin murdered in assists. I have Beno too but he’s off the a slow start so I picked up Stuckey but wit AI comin and the fact that he seems like a scorin guard, im unsure of what to do

  5. flyp says:

    Hey Doc,

Spencer Hawes: sell high? Or Ride it out and see what Brad Miller does to his numbers?

  6. C-Hova says:

What’s the word on Dunleavy doc? Is he going to be cuttable with the emergence of Granger going franchise player mode?

  7. The Fantasy Doctor says:

boom707 – Moon. And Horford over Gibson

    maddskizzle – that’s funny. Foye.

flyp – Could you really sell Hawes right now? Seems like that would be tough.

    C-Hova – Can’t cut Dunleavy. He’s a week or two away.

  8. Joe says:

What are your thoughts on Yi Jianlian, I watched the game and he actually looked pretty good. Would you cut Spencer Hawes for him?

Also how much longer must I keep Rafer Alston for? Can I pick up Nate Robinson, Mario Chalmers or Leoandra Barbosa for him? Is he even worth owning in 12 team roto leagues with the damage he does to your FG% and FT%?

    Thanks!

  9. Jussumguy says:

Would it be worthwhile to start Rondo over AI at PG tonight in a head-to-head league?

  10. Mikey says:

I was thinking about cutting Barack in my fantasy president league. I’m glad I stuck with him.

  11. C-Hova says:

    Thanks doc!

  12. fattyacids says:

    yes we can!

  13. The Fantasy Doctor says:

    Joe,

If you want to cut Rafer go for it. Whatever the difference is between him and Nate Rob it won’t be huge and will probably be up and down anyway.

Yi – He’s looked really impressive except for one game. It’ll be up and down. I definitely wouldn’t want to depend on him.

  14. The Fantasy Doctor says:

    Jussumguy,

Decent chance that AI doesn’t play tonight because Chauncey hasn’t passed the physical yet. Definitely stay tuned and pay attention to it before making that call. If AI is playing, you go with AI.

  15. McFly says:

    Yo Doc,

I just recently did a trade in my roto keeper league.

I traded Marcus Camby, Rudy Gay and Marvin Williams for Dwight Howard and Kirk Hinrich.

I was thinkin Camby had a career last year and his heel will limit him and on top of that he’s playing in a new offense where him and Kaman can’t share the stats.
    Too much?

    Just wanted your 2 cents.

Also. I offered magette and stuckey on my 18 team keeper league for deron. not enough? too much? both of em i’d keep for next year.

  16. SayItAintSo says:

You fail. You tried too hard with the Barack plug…

You are awarded NO points. You do NOT pass go and are encouraged to be embarrassed.

    All is forgiven though.

  17. srb says:

What’s the deal with Mike Redd? Is he playing or not?

  18. CitizenB says:

    Doc,
Just pulled Jason Thompson off the wire for Pietrus. Gas me up and tell me it was a good move (I’m in need of some re-assurance).

  19. Big Sia says:

    Wilt over Obama any day

  20. The Fantasy Doctor says:

    McFly,

I love Dwight and I hear you on Camby… but you gave up too much. And if you can get Deron Williams for Maggatte/Stuckey do it.

  21. QNZ IQ says:

    Doc,

what should i do with DWill, they say his doubtful. so should i play him or not?

  22. The Fantasy Doctor says:

    srb,

    Looks like he is playing.

    CitizenB,

Could go either way with those two.

  23. nick says:

doc, i’ve got wade and have an offer of kobe bryant for him, would you do that trade?

  24. len-e says:

    @NICK
no-brainer. grab mamba any time (i own wade tho)

  25. Trisha says:

    Hey Doc!

what do you think of Mario Chalmers and Al Harrington?

  26. Jason says:

hey doc, i really need some rebounds and blocks, and im pretty high up in FT. im thinking i trade AI who is one of my 5 point guards. what are your thoughts about super man?
