(Almost) Daily Fantasy
Is Telfair worth picking up?So many names making the (Almost) Daily Fantasy. Are you keeping up? Also, I wrote about Tony Parker and Amare’s night last night earlier. Make sure you check it out and put in your comment for Best Fantasy Night EVER.
Brandon Wright – This kid can play (18 points, 13 boards, 3 blocks) and as soon as Al Harrington gets shipped out (has to happen) he’ll have some value. He’ll also have Don Nelson value meaning he’ll probably drive you nuts. That being said, if you can stash him, do it.
Luke Ridnour – Luke came back with a vengeance but also played some off guard. No matter what, both Ridnour and Sessions are going to play. I’m not sure how many 20 point, 11 assist, 7 board games Luke has in him. Kudos to you if you started him.
Ramon Sessions – Fantasy owners are dying for minutes from Sessions. 22 and 8 last night. This year’s, last year’s Calderon? That make sense?
Mario Chalmers – 9 Steals! The kid finds ways to put up stats every night.
Kelenna Azubuike – Is anyone more frustrating in fantasy hoops than Don Nelson? Azubuike played 44 minutes last night and had a very solid fantasy line of 22 points, 8 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. Honestly, he’ll probably play 18 minutes in the next game.
Luc Mbah a Moute – Luc has had himself a couple nights while ruining a couple nights for Charlie V. (no surprise here for that fact). Last night Moute had17 and 6. That’s two decent lines in a row. He needs more to make me a believer.
Roger Mason – I’m not a huge believer in his long term value (Manu) but he’s a guy who can be picked up for a spot start. In 44 minutes last night he had 26 points and is now is averaging 16 points. In addition he has 9 threes in 4 games. That’s l
Sebastian Telfair – Welcome back. Telfair could very quickly find his way into relevancy in that back court. 30 minutes last night (before fouling out), with 10 dimes and 8 points.
Shaq – I know he had a sub par night because of foul trouble but the big news here is that even after playing only 23 minutes on Tuesday night, he was going to sit out last night until Matt Barnes had to leave for a family emergency. Not a great sign.
Joel Przybilla – 16 boards??? I still wouldn’t claim him unless I was desperate for a center for next week.
Travis Outlaw – Don’t cut him. He played only 23 minutes, had only 10 points, and is no longer starting but don’t let him go yet.
Deron Williams – Not only did Deron Williams not play last night but he’s going to be questionable for the rest of the week and possibly next as well. Like we’ve said, the unfortunate thing for fantasy owners is that there is really no rush.
Ricky Davis – He’ll have fantasy value at some point, but if you own him in a 12 team league or below, there is probably someone better on the waiver wire.
Troy Murphy – Until he gets hurts, the double-doubles are clearly back. Nice move if you picked up Murphy in the draft. Right now he can definitely be considered a solid steal. After last night, he’s averaging 11 and 11. Quick heads up, he’s also shooting under 40% from the field, though is somehow 8-16 from three.
Jamario Moon – The minutes were there (32) but he only took 3 shots. I really don’t believe in his production this season (unless JO or Bosh get hurt). Play him at your own risk.
Marcus Camby – The good news is he played a back to back. The bad news is that he only played 16 minutes because of foul trouble and the Clips lost again.
Michael Redd – Hey, he’s in my lineup too. You win some, you lose some.

in other news Andrei Kirilenko (the real 6th man of the year) is averaging 15 ppg, 8 rpg, 3 apg, 2 bpg and 2 spg . . . and shooting 56 fg% and almost 80 ft%.

Doc you like Hinrich or Azabuike?
Both teams dilute and rotate players, but I need the more consistent stat line. Leaning towards Buike

WuMan says:
Hi Doc,
I’m in a 9-Cat H2H League,
I have
Al-Jefferson
Bynum
David West
G-Wallace
Deng
Peja
David Lee
Chalmers
Moon
I’m trading my Baron Davis to get Iverson. I think my FT% is not that bad for a kind of big man team. So I’m giving away about 1 3PTM and 1 Stl for higher %. What do you think about the move?
Thank you for your advise and great column (almost) everyday. Keep the good work.

doc-

MoxWestCoastRep says – Overall, as crazy as it sounds, right now I like Buike.
Wuman – I’d rather AI. Much more dependable.
D.H. – Tough call. Nate’s more fun and will give you more big nights. Bibby is the safer pick though.
chrisGO – Probably. I just don’t know which to advise you to grab right now. it’s a toss up.

I am an idiot! I becnhed Ridnour and started Redd this week!
November 6th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
The Fantasy Doctor says:
Ant – Pryzbilla may help for a week until Oden gets back. I don’t reccomend either but do what you have to do.
akash- There is no reason to own Tony Allen so sure. If Lowry is the best that’s out there.
kdog-
Walter Herrmann vs. Nene – Nene. Not even close.
Beno Udrih vs. Luke Ridnour – Right now it’s a tossup.
MSkittle- Week isn’t over yet!

Richard Jefferson
Al Thorton
Duncan
Ilgauskas
Haslem
David Lee

Rudy Fernedeaz

Ginoboli
I doing good in most categories except 3 point shooting and assists. I want to keep Ginoboli on my bench so who should I release. Also who should I pick up. Some free agents in my league are Chamlers, Nate Robinsons, and Roger Mason.

Hi Doc, I’m really getting real impatient with Jameer Nelson to put up dimes. I’m thinking of dropping him to get Bassy, Conley, or Lowry. Should I pull the trigger?

@Amar
Either 10 or 12. I can’t check until I get home. The reason I got a lot of these player because on yahoo people like TP, Johnson, RJ, and Ginoboli was ranked low. Ginoboli because of injury and TP because his fantasy numbers last year were not that high. Al Jefferson was ranked higher than Duncan because Duncan fantasy numbers last year was low. Yahoo ranking is crazy because I got Duncan as my 2nd round pick and I picked 6th each round.

@rell
If you picked 6th in each round, wouldn’t that mean there are 11 teams
