(Almost) Daily Fantasy

Chris BoshThe first half fantasy MVP?

Chris Bosh continues to be the real breakout fantasy player of the season. He’s gone from top 12 pick to a possible fantasy MVP. The weekend edition drops you a couple quick hits on the Knicks deal and a few other players we continue to watch.

Stephon Marbury – It’s going to end and end quickly now. I really believe that. My guess? He’s on another team within two weeks. If that ends up being the Heat Steph will be worth a pickup.

Al HarringtonThe big winner. Harrington is going to get up his shots from all over the floor. Threes, threes, and more threes.

Tim Thomas – Winner number two. He’s not a bad pick up as simply a “just-in-case.” I still think Wilson Chandler will get the majority of those minutes but if you have room, grab Thomas just to see what happens.

Crawford and Randolph – Seriously, no worries. These are two players who will find their shots. The only concern is if Randolph and the Clips lose and lose often. Randolph, LA, and a losing team doesn’t sound like a productive environment.

Charlie Villanueva – 20 points in 13 minutes was some impressive production. He looked very healthy. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had 8 and 13 and isn’t losing that job anytime soon.

Ramon Sessions – The kid can clearly play (15 points, 10 assists, and 4 boards). At least offensively, which for all intensive purposes is all we really care about. When (and if… Kidding… Sort of) Michael Redd plays again the Rid/Sessions combo will probably be fantasy bench material but Sessions continues to be must see fantasy TV. We’ll keep watching.

Andrea Bargnani – There he goes again! Some nights he’s vintage Dirk (last night – 29 and 10) and some nights he’s vintage Skita (name from the past). He’s start-able right now and might frustrate owners but forwards who hit threes, board, and block shots are a tremendous asset.

Deron Williams – Sounds like Deron will spend another week on your bench next week. It also sounds like it will be the last week on your bench. Williams is expected to be good to go Wednesday.

    Hi Doc,
Thanks for the good work. No PJ is fired in OKC, what do you think of Westbrook? How about Brook Lopez’s future?

  2. Jules says:

Is Felton droppable for Sessions? I lead in assists but feel if I pick up Sessions I might be able to trade some of my PG depth for a big, hopefully Biedrins… I have Calderon, LBJ, B. Roy, Devin Harris, Bibby and Felton (who I would drop).

Other pickups available are Bargn., Villanueva, Mbah a Moute, and Haslem. No real PGs out there, outside of Chalmers and Steve Blake. Also Russell Westbrook.

I need 3s, boards, and blocks so Bargnani seems kind of obvious…do you think he will be better long-term than Sessions? I feel like I can trade for those stats and keep my assists up with Sessions.

My other scrubs are JR Smith and Odom. Maybe drop Smith for Bargs?

    Thanks for any help!

Was offered a big time deal in my keeper league, wondering if I should bite. He offered me a combo of Oden and Gasol for Dwight Howard. And he also offered the some package of Oden and Gasol seperately for Al Jefferson. Should I do either one of these trades. Gasol and Oden are fairly injury prone and Jefferson and Howard, not so much, plus they are fantasy beasts. What should I do? Thanks for any help.

    Hey Doc,

have Zach Randolph on my team..Harrington is a Free
Agent…should i pick him up in Zach’s place?…or try to trade him for someone like Elton Brand?

Been my worst week of the season…T-mac’s killing me, Artest is frustrating, Kevin Martin is out, Boozer is out, Horford is out, Z-Bo traded…and my opponents got Chris Bosh..just plain sucks.

  5. BrickLayer says:

    Hey Doc,

  6. advocate says:

Bosh is a stud. I really think his Olympic performance and USA’s outcome have boosted his confidence to an even higher level. He’s a beast this season.

  10. dj ho says:

@ cesar: those hands are enormous!

How about chris paul putting up easily one of the best fantasy lines of the year. something like 29 (11-17 fg)1 three, 10 bounds, 16 dimes, couple steals and a blocked shot…
