(Almost) Daily Fantasy
Forget the off night… I’ll take the 4 blocks. As always, leave your questions for the Doc in the comments section.
Jason Thompson – Here we go. Thompson got his first start and played 41 minutes. He had 15 points and nine boards. There is a log jam upfront and I still think Thompson’s minutes need to be consistent before playing but he’s clearly a part of the Kings future and someone with legit value potential. If you can afford to own him and wait it out, do it.
Anderson Varejao – Someone asked me about Varejao yesterday and I gave the “not yet”. That was yesterday. That’s three straight very good games. They Cavs are getting closer and closer to committing to Varejao over Wallace. I worry about the minutes consistency but he 100% needs to be monitored right now. We’re on it.
Elton Brand – The Sixers are a little bit dysfunctional and Brand’s production (as is Iggy’s) is clearly down. Last night showed me something though. The stats were mediocre last night but the boards and points will be there. The fear with Brand is that the blocks had disappeared. At least for last night, Brand quelled my fears a bit swatting 4 shots. I’ve said this in the past, it is the blocks that have always separated Brand from a good fantasy player and a great fantasy player.
Gerald Green – Green had 17 and 6 yesterday for the Mavs but with Howard’s injury not serious, Green doesn’t have any fantasy value.
Luke Ridnour/Ramon Sessions – If Rid and Sessions were one person they would have scored 27 points, and had 8 assists last night. Unfortunately they are not. Luke continues to be the minutes leader over there and the safer bet for consistency.
Randy Foye – I said yesterday that I like him better for everyone coming off the bench. He’s averaging 14 and 6.5 in his last 4 games. Small sample but a nice improvement. I don’t 100% believe in the consistency.
Sebastian Telfair – Ouch. 14 minutes and the goose egg. He’s a fringe own right now and is at the very best a source of assists.
Andres Nocioni – 20 points including 4 threes and Noc is clearly back in the rotation. He’s a great pick up if you need a 4th forward. Minutes equal production from Nocioni.
Luc Mbah a Moute – Luc won’t go away. The numbers aren’t necessarily pretty, but he’s now averaging 11.6 points and 6.4 boards over the last 5 games.
Deron Williams – He did not look completely healthy at all last night. Hopefully, it’s strictly a confidence thing but check the swelling today. We will.

The Fantasy Doctor says:
Help me - Obviously he’s been a huge disappointment. Even with the decent night last night the assists weren’t there. The Kings are pot committed (aka gave him the contract) so he’s worth holding out for.
Stu - Yes. Immediately. Like right now. Seriously, stop reading and click accept.

hey Fantasy Doc, I got Amir Johnson right now, and I’m trying to get a player a little more consistent. He was my last pick in the draft so i’m looking for someone to give me some blocks boards and those things…
I was thinking of picking up Kendrick Perkins who is still available. Your thoughts? Any suggestions for other “role players” that start on teams.
