Monster night from CB4
Chris Bosh is the fantasy MVP of last night (with Mr. Granger right behind him) but below are who we’re concerning ourselves with. Roster problems? Trade offers? Leave them in the comments box.
Al Horford - Have another sprained ankle. Horford joins the growing ranks of “questionables” with a sprained ankle. It isn’t believed to be extremely serious, but we’ve heard that before also.
Michael Redd – Redd is doubtful for tonight. Fantasy killer right now.
Anthony Morrow – Ride it out! Two games down for Mr. Morrow who had 4 more threes and 25 more points last night. He will come back down to life but seriously, ride it out and enjoy.
Deron Williams - The good news is that he’s a game time decision for tonight. Seriously, that’s good news.
Jameer Nelson – Watch out – Jameer is starting to become consistent. Jameer had 22 last night and now has scored in double figures in 9 out of the 11 games.
Delonte West – Delonte is quietly performing at a pretty solid level. His 16 last night now give him 7 double digit scoring games in his last 10 games. He also usually pitches in somewhere else whether it’s boards or dimes. He’s had at least 4 boards or 4 assists in 8 out of the last 10 games. You could do worse from a 4th guard.
Wilson Chandler – I’m a believer (23 and 7). He’s only going to get better in the Knicks system throughout time as well. This is the only team that Chandler has the opportunity to shoot threes. He’s not a good three point shooter but he’s going to hit some for an added value bonus.
Troy Murphy – 19 rebounds from T-Murph! That’s the type of breakout performance from a 4th forward that can literally win you a category. Congrats to Murphy owners.
Brook Lopez – I’ve been a big fan of the Brook Lopez fan club and he contiues to impress while subbing in for Josh Boone. Lopez had the nice 15 and 13 double/double line last night.
Andrea Bargnani – Having fun with Bargnani yet? He’s still ownable but even in the starting five he’s inconsistent. 5 points and 3 boards last night in 23 foul-ridden minutes.
Greg Oden – Oden is trying to make a whole lot of people eat their words. Oden had 22, 10, and 2 more blocks last night. Let the trading high thoughts begin.
D.J. Augustin and the Bobcats – I would hate to own any Bobcats and the fact that I don’t is not an accident. D.J. Augustin is clearly who Larry Brown wants to be his guy and he played him along side Raymond Felton for much of last night. Still, even with 21 points, 4 boards and 4 dimes, it will take a good consistent stretch for me to recommend him.
Ron Artest/Tracy Mcgrady – T-Mac has gone from shutting it down to practicing yesterday and possibly playing tonight. If you own him, you’re probably stuck with him so be prepared for him to drive you insane all season. Artest missed practice yesterday but might play tonight.

Anyone notice the steady stream of inconsistency this season by a large majority of players? Maybe it’s too early in the season still.

Doc,
I’m wonderin what your thoughts are on Lamar Odom. While his move to 6th man has worked so far for the lakers it has killed his fantasy numbers. I’m thinking I should drop him for a guy like Udonis Haslem. I’m also trying to trade him, but can’t get any takers yet. Here is my team in a 10 team H2H:
Chris Paul
Shawn Marion
Danny Granger
Pau Gasol
Chauncey Billups
Mo Williams
Lamar Odom
Rasheed Wallace
Greg Oden
Samuel Dalembert
Al Horford
Jason Richardson
Chris Duhon
Your thoughts?

Hey Doc… u may remember me from a few weeks ago with this team, tweaked it a bit through trades and some easy pickups (can u believe someon dropped Hawes, and Miler???). I’m feeling REALLY good right now, and don’t know If i’m just a parent with an ugly baby that can’t see beyond the drewl. I know i need some dimes but otherwise once we’re all healthy I’m feeling good, like really good lol
PG T.J. Ford
SG Kevin Martin
G O.J. Mayo
SF Gerald Wallace
PF LaMarcus Aldridge
F Udonis Haslem
C Amare Stoudemire
C Spencer Hawes

JCARR says:
@Doc
What about Rasho Nesterovic? did you see his line (21pts,7 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks)
***He deserves to be mentioned. even though he’s the most inconsistent and disgusting player to ever play in the league. Bet Stephen A. Smith wont believe what he did last night!

What is your take on Tyson Chandler? He’s playing BRUTAL so far, is he worth owning at this point?

BEdger says:
with the numbers that Oden is putting up, why would you advocate trading him every day? Isn’t that the kind of production you would like to have from your C position?

Gmoney says:
I have Gerald Wallace and Emeka Okafor and there just downright awful right now. Do u reccomend trading them for lesser talent?

The Fantasy Doctor says:
G, Don’t cut him. Patience!
Dell, squad looks good.
JCARR – Good call with Rasho. This isn’t the first time he’s done that either.
Scott – Chandler will be okay but the shot blocking wasn’t there last year either.
BEdger, definitely. And there are going to be some people who decide to keep him. Just keep in mind, Oden is a 20 year old stuck in a 90 year 7-foot body. He’s just very injury prone.
Gmoney – I still like Wallace. I just hate Larry Brown.

Scott says:
Cool, I’m not too worried about him blocking shots… but boards and %’s could be better. Luckily, he’s not my number 1 C. Actually he’s been benched for most of the season cuz I have a bit of depth.
BTW, again with big men, Okafor and Dalembert have been somewhat disappointing this year. Especially compared to what they did last year. I expected a double-double from at least Okafor, and was hoping on Dalembert.
Luckily, on the squad with Dalembert and Okafor, I have Bynum, Amare and Hawes holding down the fort for now. Thank god Bynum has been playing better lately.
Any thoughts on those two guys?

Doc,
Do you know what’s up with Dunleavy? Is he still worth keeping?

Nimit says:
Hey doc,
i have Kevin Martin out…T-mac, Artest AND Horford with ankle issues…and to complete my day, my opponent this week has troy freaking murphy getting him 19 rebounds…
T-mac’s really annoying me now….should i drop him and pick up Anthony Morrow/Greg Oden/Jeff Green?

doc, any idea if horford is playing today or the rest of the wk for that matter?

Al B says:
I had a quick question on Morrow. Dude’s been lighting it up, but people keep talking about how much value he’ll lose once Ellis gets back. Obviously it’ll have an effect on everyone’s minutes. I’m confused about why no one has mentioned Azibuike as a possible loser when Ellis comes back too. From what I’ve seen Morrow’s stroke is nicer than anyone else’s in Golden State’s starting 5 (including Captain Jack). If he keeps this up I think he’ll continue to get some run even after the moped maven returns. What’s your take Doc?

Proposed trade:
Calderon, Marquis Daniels, Nene, L. Aldridge
for
D. Rose, M. Miller, David West, U. Haslem
I’d be picking up the second group, what do you think?

“Oden is a 20 year old stuck in a 90 year 7-foot body. He’s just very injury prone.” just wondering, how long will he have to stay healthy before people stop saying he’s injury prone?

Wilson says:
Hey Doc, can you help me out? This would probably be the biggest trade I’ll have ever done. Someone offered me Marion, Rashard Lewis, and Andre Miller for Bosh and Devin Harris. My team is pretty balanced. I lead the league in points and rebounds but am second to last in threes. I would take this but I’m worried about the FG% of everyone that I would be getting. Also I’d probably drop Trevor Ariza.
