Deron Williams ankle still isn’t 100%.Ankles, ankles, and more ankles. Drop your lineup day problems/questions in the comments box.
Deron Williams – Owners are having zero fun right now with Deron. He’s day to day, questionable for tonight, and clearly not 100%. I’m going to bench him for the week unless I find out he’s guaranteed to play today.
Mehmet Okur – Great news for Okur owners. Okur is back in town and should play today.
Michael Redd – There is some optimism of Redd getting into games this week. There was also that optimism last week and the week before as well. We’re going to start him.
Kevin Martin – The sprained ankles are killllling owners. Martin is questionable this week as well. We’d bench him as he looks unlikely for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Shaq – Shaq is going to play the second half of his back to back tonight BUT for the second time in a week is at risk of being suspended by the league following his on court antics after being ejected yesterday. He should be a safe start this week.
John Salmons – I still can’t stand Salmons but 31 points is 31 points. I’m a hater, what can I say.
Andrea Bargnani – As we said yesterday, Bargnani got the start at the three next to JO and Bosh. The stats were decent (12 and 4) but the big thing is he played 30+ minutes. If that keeps up, Bargnani will have real value. He’s a legit pick up right now.
Jose Calderon/Willie Solomon – Don’t go run out and claim Solomon, who had 15 and 11 in place of the injured Calderon, but know that he’s a capable fill in if there were major injuries in Toronto. Calderon was jumping around on the bench so the hammy injury doesn’t look that bad.
Roger Mason – Manu is getting closer and closer but Mason is still a better than average start this week and maybe until both Parker and Manu get back. 18 points and 3 threes last night.
Sebastian Telfair/Randy Foye – Foye (18 points) is clearly the better own as Telfair (2 points in 5 minutes). As I’ve said, I like Foye coming off the bench but I do believe he is always a risky start. Telfair can be cut.
Spencer Hawes – Don’t panic. It’s actually a good sign. Hawes had only two points yesterday but still found ways to offer value with 7 boards and 2 blocks. The minutes were low. A lot of you wrote in about trades that were offered for Hawes and we highly recommended selling high on him if you could. That being said, he’s still going to be a good second center.

CitizenB says:
If Bargnani put up John Salmons’ numbers, you guys would sh*t yourselves. Stop hating on the man already. Also, get off Bargnani’s n*ts, it’s embarrassing.

MSkittle says:
I know you guys hate on Michael Finley for being old on this site, but what are your thoughts on him for fantasy? Shouldnt he do well with no Parker or Ginobili? Worth a pick up?
Choice is between Finley or Cuttino Mobley.

Who will play 1st, KMART 2 or Josh Smith? I have to start one of them with all my injuries, otherwise I’d have to drop somebody.

Hey Doc,
I’m pretty thin on guards b/c I own both Calderon and K Martin. So, I need guard help until these guys get healthy. What are your thoughts on Russell Westbrook and Earl Watson?

The Fantasy Doctor says:
CitizenB and Gary – I’m definitely not a huge Bargnani guy either. I never said, drop Salmons and pick up Bargnani. I don’t own either but would obviously take Salmons over him everytime. As a ball player, I think Salmons is an above average player on a bad team and someone that doesn’t necessarily help win ball games. As a fantasy player, he’s somewhat inconsistent and better for roto leagues than fantasy.
MSkittle – Finley could be a decent short term pickup. The Spurs need him badly. I’d go Finley over Mobley if you need someone for this week.
fallinup – Definitely don’t start him. if there is someone you need badly, than drop Thomas.
sans – if you HAVE to start someone than start Kevin Martin.
mules – don’t do it.
kdog – Westbrook.
