(Almost) Daily Fantasy – Monday Lineup Special
As always, Monday has some tough decisions ahead. We’ll do what we can to help. Get those lineups in.
Jermaine O’Neal – Props to JO for giving it a go yesterday against the Celtics but he clearly wasn’t healthy enough to be in the lineup. O’Neal left the game and did not return. He says he’s going to play on Wednesday but to be on the safe side, we’d bench him for the week and upgrade Jamario Moon and certainly Andrea Bargnani. I’m not a Kris Humphries believer.
Randy Foye – Last night Foye showed the entire fantasy potential package going for 23 and 14. Fantasy owners (and the Wolves) are hoping that this is the beginning of the real Randy Foye. We’ll see.
Spencer Hawes – Finally the Kings did what most of us expected they’d do two weeks ago – They started Hawes at center and Brad Miller at the four. They also started Jason Thompson at the three. Hawes had 11 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks and this line up isn’t (or at least shouldn’t) go away.
Jason Thompson – Good for Sactown for snagging Jason Thompson in the draft. He’s absurdly productive no matter where he plays and how much he plays. Thompson had 15 points, 7 boards, 3 steals, and 2 blocks last night starting at the three. Thompson will move the 6th man role with Kevin Martin gets back, though the minutes will still be there.
Luol Deng/Larry Hughes – Deng says he’s good to go for the week. Hughes has actually shown a little something-something when he’s gotten the minutes. I might not cut Hughes immediately if you’re an owner, but I certainly would not pick him up.
Craig Smith – Two games in a row for Craig Smith is still an aberration. He had these streaks last season too. Serviceable NBA tweener. Not a serviceable fantasy player unless there are injuries or you get lucky on picking him up for a hot week.
Michael Redd – At least we know. Redd will not play on the Bucks road trip and should be on all benches.
Antonio McDyess – Anti-climatic. McDyess will return to the Pistons, most likely have no value, and most likely reduce Amir Johnson, Jason Maxiell, and Kwame Brown’s value to nothing as well.
Anthony Morrow – It was fun while it lasted wasn’t it? Morrow seems to have returned back to earth. One thing is clear though, the kid has earned a rotation spot. With Crawford coming in Morrow’s rotation minutes probably won’t be enough to warrant a roster spot. Feel free to wait and week and confirm though.
Drew Gooden – Drew Gooden has been about 900 teams in his NBA career for a reason and most likely his inconsistency is a major player. That being said, he has the tools and now has 39 points and 23 rebounds in his last two games.

Randy Foye was the best basketball player I ever played against. He took a while to adjust to the college game at ‘Nova, and the NBA also requires some getting used to. His talent is undeniable. Wait and see.

For fantasy purposes, who has the most value:
Linas Kleiza
Brandon Wright
Trevor Ariza
Tony Allen
My roster is strong except for my last bench spot. Right now, I have Ariza on my team because I figure he’ll help me with steals. Any input?

Ariza has the most value, Wright has the most upside.

Doc,
Should I ship out Z. Randolph? I know the court will be crowded in LA…
I was thinking about offering this trade:
Zach Randolph
Devin Harris
FOR
Jermaine Oneal
Brandon Roy
If he accepts, you think it’s a good move?

Fantasy Doctor says:
loganlight – I don’t love that deal. You’re trading two healthy bodies for one injured player (perpetually injured player) and a guy who is also injury prone. Let it play out a bit.

Doc,
Do you think the coaching change going to help Russell Westbrook? I’m hurtin at guard with both Redd & Kevin Martin being out and I recently grabbed Jameer Nelson and now Westbrook off waivers to start for me. (Stuckey didn’t stick with me, finally gave up on that.)
Thanks,

Doc,
Should I drop Marques Daniels for Bargnani? His fantasy numbers have improve since he is starting now. However, Marques Danies is doing good since Dunvaley Jr is out. I have Ginobli coming back also.

Doc,
What do you think the Randolph trade does for Camby’s value…should I try to move him or do you think he’ll still get reasonable minutes?

Doc,
I have been thinking about picking up javale mcgee but I don’t know who to drop. I think my roster is good but I feel a little short on rebounds.
Roster:
C.Paul
J.Johnson
A.Thornton
C.Boozer
N.Hilario
C.Billups
D.Rose
M.Ginobili
Z.Randolph
L.Mbah a Moute
J.Thompson
G.Oden
P.Millsap
Should I do it or do I keep my roster as it is?
