(Almost) Daily Fantasy

JR SmithMaybe all JR needed was a little motivation.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Leave your fantasy problems in the comments box and I’ll do my best to help anyway I can.

JR Smith – As soon as JR Smith received the DNP-CD the other night I said it has to be some sort of punishment. Nothing really came out about it until last night, but sure enough Smith was benched for skipping a practice. He came back motivated and had his best game of the season dropping 32 in the Nuggets loss to the Hornets.

Tyson Chandler – Props to Tyson and fam for giving birth to a baby boy. Great for Tyson, bad for fantasy owners. Chandler is questionable for tonight’s game and missed last night’s Turkey day game against the Nuggets.

Udonis Haslem – Watch Haslem’s minutes carefully over the next week or so. Haslem has been playing out of position at the center spot and the Heat are about to get Jamaal Magloire back. Desperate for a defensive presence in the middle, we expect that Magloire will steal quality minutes from Haslem.

Jermaine O’Neal – JO looks good to go for tonight’s game. O’Neal seems determined to play a career high in games this season.

Allen Iverson – AI skipped Thursday’s practice (PRACTICE!) and will come off the bench tonight. Stuckey will get the start and there is a chance AI could get the JR Smith treatment and not play at all.

Stephon Marbury –
Steph is either going to get sent home with pay, suspended, or waived. Our guess is sent home until the new year when he’ll take a small buyout.

Anthony Johnson –
Johnson did a nice job running the offense last night for the Magic and dropped a nice 12 dimes in Orlando’s win. He’s a one week pick up at best.

  2. Lakeshow says:

I have no idea what you’re talking ’bout but Marbury will NOT take a “small buyout”

  3. Vago says:

    dear fantasydoctor,
    I need your advice,
I am in need of %FT’s, rebounds and blocks and have been proposed the following trade:
Give up: OJ Mayo and Mike Miller
For: Ron Artest and Marc Gasol
Thanks for your help on this one doc,

  4. Smackdown says:

Who will have the better fantsy season Brook Lopez, Russell Westbrook or Eric Gordon?

  5. Mikey B says:

9 cat roto, i just traded Emeka Okafor and TJ Ford for David West and going to pick up either Varrejo,Blatche, or McGee.

Who would you suggest Haslem is my second centre right now, and what do you think of the trade?

Or do I just pickup Arenas and hope he comes back soon.

  6. jwest says:

In a 14-team league, is it a good deal for me to trade chauncey billups and al harrington for samuel dalembert and steve nash? how bout david west for yao ming?

my line up goes like this:
    deron williams
    david west
    elton brand
    sessions
    mobley
    brook lopez
    charlie villanueva
    pietrus
    al harrington
    rudy gay
    chauncey billups
    eric gordon

  7. Mark says:

JR Smith is killing my fantasy team… Think he’ll put a good run together now?

  8. Kobeef says:

Marbury on D’Antoni in the NY Post:

“I wouldn’t trust him to walk my dog across the street.”

  9. LOu B says:

    2 team h2h.

they offered D.west and kidd for my
    timmy d and dj augustin.
my back up bigs are bogut, z-bo, memo, and i got lebron. it feels like a no brainer but are those guys worth duncans 20-10-3-and 2 blocks?
and im 1st in the league so far, should i break up a happy home when its still working?
    DOC, help a brother out.

  10. wilson says:

should i drop thornton for eric gordon?

  11. Mo says:

JR smith has potential, but he has the same attitude as Carmelo Anthony:

  12. Chait says:

What’s going on with Mike Miller? He barely gets any shot attempts anymore. Should I try to trade him, and for who?

  13. jt says:

    hey doc,

im in a 10 team roto league, i was offered kg and horford for my bynum and butler? im hesitant to pull the trigger because im in 1st and see no need to change. Should i do it?

  14. Fantasy Doctor says:

    Lakeshow,

Steph probably ends up taking a million dollar buyout if he’s offered it. That sort of seems where it was headed but the Knicks wanted 3 to 5 mil.

    Vago, good deal for you.

Smackdown – I trust Brook Lopez the most of those three.

Mikey B – if you can pick up Gil and don’t NEED another guy right now, do it.

Jwest – tough call. Who else on your squad qualifies at center?

Lou – It isn’t that easy of a call at all. You lose blocks and Duncan is the best of the three players. I like trading Augustin high though. You’re in first. You’ll always be able to trade Duncan if he’s healthy. Don’t pull it right now. People disagree?

WIlson – no. anyone else to cut?

  15. Vago says:

    thanks doc

  16. jwest says:

brook lopez and al harrington are my only centers doc…

  17. where high ankle sprains happen says:
