(Almost) Daily Fantasy – Trade Rumor Edition
Zach owners want to keep him in NYCLast night was somewhat a dull fantasy night. And what did the dull fantasy bring to us this morning? A major trade rumor with huge fantasy implications. We’ll review the entire deal when it goes down but a few quick thoughts on what could be.
1. Jamal Crawford wouldn’t lose much value in Golden States system if that happened. You always have to worry about Nellie ball but Crawford should be fine. He also would be fine if he ended up on the Clippers.
2. Al Harrington owners would love to see Al in the new-look Knicks system. Harrington would be the big fantasy winner in this deal.
3. If you own him, you don’t want to see Big Zach in another uniform. Zach is playing great ball right now and the last thing you want to see is Randolph on a losing team.
4. Here is one scenario where even Malik Rose has value. Here we go – Rose gets bought out from whatever team he goes to and signs with the Bobcats. He’d literally be their starting power forward.
More to come.

The Clips have to be thinking about moving Camby or Kaman otherwise $15 milion is a lot to spend to have Zach come off the bench.
Unless the Warriors are really thinking about cutting Monta I don’t see where Jamal fits in. Maggette and Jackson are best used as swingmen at the 2/3 and I can’t see either of them coming off the bench.
Harrington is going to see some PT but he is not Z-Bo and won’t give you 20-10. I can see him riding the pine…just to completely contradict FD.

hey doc,
with this trade going down, i’m not too worried about jamal’s production, but i was wondering about brandon wright and anthony randolph…any value there? what happens to anthony morrow and kelenna? value declining? thanks man.

…also, i’m in a pretty deep league and have a few guys like mbah a moute, morrow and daequan cook that i consider somewhat dropable. drop any of those for a promising wright, randolph or stuckey? just wondering cause i see mbah a moute and morrow’s value declining soon with villa coming back and monta’s eventual return to the golden city…

baron von faulk says:
I think the Warriors will look something like this
CRAWFORD pg
MORROW sg
JACKSON sf
MAGGETTE pf
BIEDRINS c
bench = azubuike, wright, watson, randolph, turiaf
but nellie will still use stephen as his point-forward, they don’t need a true pg (watson is a backup anyway)
the interesting thing will be what happens when ellis gets back
ELLIS pg
CRAWFORD sg
JACKSON sf
MAGGETTE pf
BIEDRINS c
then morrow and azubuike will be off the bench

AlsoI would think David Lee should be the Knicks starting C, right? and Nate should win some minutes with Crawford gone unless Mobley actually fits
