What would be really nice is if Bargs could do this more than once a season. You like to see this stuff but it is frustrating cause you wonder why he doesn’t show this kind of effort more often.

HAHAHAHA
Best thing ever.
But Bargnani is seriously skilled/talented . . . if he ever gets his head on straight where he produces consistantly he could be one of the best big guys in the game.
Still wish the Raps would have chosen Roy though . . . .

bobby stew says:
Reggie Evans just gave Bargnani a highlight. I even checked to see if maybe he stepped on Reggie’s foot but that didn’t happen. Reggie should never be allowed to take a step outside of the paint.

I’m guessing you didn’t see the game, but Andrea had another sick dunk on 3 76ers.

Bargs actually played like the #1 pick last night. Commuto you’re right….his other dunk was just as nice as this one

Arsenalist says:
Yeah, his second dunk was even more impressive. Too bad the game was over by then. I was at the game too and the crowd went insane after both plays..
November 13th, 2008 at 6:31 pm
Kevin says:
Those were the only reasons we had to go insane. Those, and Bosh’s monster rebound and drawn foul on putback attempt, which led to MVP chants, which probably made him miss his two free throws… not sure if that one’s our fault or bosh’s.

the rocket cat says:
I haven’t seen anyone on the press comment on the lineup the Raptors used for about a minute and a half near the end of the game.
PG: Anthony Parker
SG: Jason Kapono
SF: Chris Bosh
PF: Andrea Bargnani
C: Jermain O’Neal
Although it wasn’t enough for them to come back in the game, it was sick. Iguodala looked scared with Bosh guarding him. For once, we had a size advantage in the backcourt. Because JO and Bosh both have sweet jumpers and Bargnani shoots threes, we could still spread the floor with three bigs.
If we had a competent coach, we wouldn’t even need a good point guard. Bosh has all the skills to be an incredible point-forward. Give him the ball, let him face up, and have guys actually cut for him. Have JO come up and set a back door screen for someone like Jamario Moon. When you’ve got a skilled big like Bosh who plays a face-up high-post game, it really is the coaches fault that he doesn’t get any assists.
One of the Raptors big problems in most of the sixers game is that we were having trouble getting the ball into the post. The taller perimeter defenders made it really difficult for our guards to make those passes. With three bigs, you can keep Bargnani on the perimeter and have him use him height to make those entry passes.
One thing Bargnani did really well in that game is attack the basket from the perimeter. He’s garbage in the post, but he can drive. We already knew he could shoot threes. Letting him play SF on offense (while Bosh plays SF on defense), better utilizes his strengths.
I don’t care who the two back-court guys are. If the Raptors want to be a top team this year, they need to learn how to play the three big men together.
It was also kind of cool at the end when they went small, just for shits and giggles, with 2 point guards and 3 small forwards.
